Dr. Honig has been my doctor for almost four years now from a hip injury that occurred when I was 35 years old. Yesterday I finally had my hip arthroscopy for a torn labrum and FAI. Dr. H has been amazing through this whole process. He has listened to me. He encouraged me try non-invasive treatments first including Injections, physical therapy, weight training which gave me 4 additional years of use after the injury. We went year by year and month by month and eventually decided given the pain and the work I had done without enough improvement that ultimately surgery would be the best option . Dr H is always cool, level headed , explains things , listens and doesn’t rush. You decided together a plan of care and he follows thru. On referrals etc. My surgery went amazing yesterday. My pain is well controlled and I am well on my way to recovery thanks to Dr . H and truly his whole staff. The office ladies have been amazing !!! Jessica who schedules the surgeries, Briana and Gina, who… answered my multiple text messages. And got issues figure out for me quickly. Dr. H’s nurse (I am not remembering her name) is always so kind and down to earth. The sweet ladies who answer the phone and you check in and out are great also. Truly I have had a great experience in a not great situation and I am thankful for my medical team at all star orthopedics and would recommend them to anyone. Side note all star was referred to me by a 30 year old friend of mine that had double hip replacements and loved their experience also !!

Dr. Honig was really helpful and very professional. He provided me with choices instead of questions about the procedure. I will definitely be scheduling my surgery with Dr. Honig in the near future. Thank you!

Dr. Honig has always been there for me and most of my family. He’s so professional but makes you feel as though you have been friends with him forever. He did double knee replacement 7 years ago on me and made my life a different story. Now, he is working on my rotator cuff and my expectation is that he will get me thru this also. If you need anything ortho related, he’s your guy!!

I ruptured both patellar tendons in each knee in 2012. Bouncing in place at a trampoline park. Bizarre situation, were both knees essentially "let go" of the front of my leg, so the hamstrings flexed into a ball, without the counter weight of the patellar tendon, keeping it abducted. Dr. Honig came in the morning of the surgery, and was very friendly and answered all my questions. He told me to re-think my career, which was tough to hear, but helped me accept reality. I was a professional Firefighter/Paramedic for a local city. He was always awesome with every appointment and interaction. Even while recovering at the hospital after surgery, he brought his kids to see me and helped the nurse put on my compression socks. He is very smart and always friendly. We always joked and had fun. Years later I ruptured my bicep tendon, and sought him out. He actually remembered me! And took amazing great care of me again. He always takes the time to answer questions and make you feel better.

He suggested that I recover without a cast which allowed me to remain productive in my field yet following his instructions I was able to heal in less than 6 weeks. Over the years, my family and I have seen several Orthopedic Doctors for various injuries, aches and pains. We had always used a big practice in the Lewisville area. They were always arrogant, condescending and lacked empathy. Dr. Honig and his staff is the exact opposite! He and the staff are polite and treat me with respect. He explains everything in a calm manner and made me feel comfortable with his expertise right away (without being arrogant). I never had a long wait to see him and it was easy to get an appointment. To me this is important because MANY doctors make you wait an hour or more to see them. Not sure why they even make appointments. I will never hesitate to recommend Dr. Honig and All Star Orthopedics to my friends and family!

I was referred to Dr. Honig after I was given a very scary diagnosis by my primary care physician. Dr. Honing listened to my many questions and concerns. He clearly explained my condition to me (which wasn't nearly as bad as why my PCP made it sound) and he put my concerns at ease by explaining that my condition could easily be treated with physical therapy. I really appreciate the fact the he didn't rush through my appointment. His staff was very courteous. I will definitely recommend him to anyone seeking an orthopedist!!
