WORST experience trying to make a simple doctor's appointment. Dealing with the office staff is like being put on some crazy ride you never wanted to be on to start - unprofessional, condescending and just outright nasty. Told me it wasn't my decision to make my own appointment, and I should just get used to that now! Demand my SS#, transfer me to the even nastier billing department and threaten me with over $1500 out of pocket because of info THEY DON'T EVEN NEED TO BILL MY INSURANCE. What kind of egocentric, maniacal office is this, and do these doctors even know how badly they are being represented? Or do they have some crazy God complex where they believe they are above courtesy and decency to patients?? Absolutely offensive in every possible way. By far the most despicable doctor experience without ever even being able to see the doctor! They should be ashamed of their haughty behavior and the way they choose to engage with the public they are meant to serve. FIRST DO NO HARM!

Absolutely the Best Rheumatologist you will find in San Antonio TX. Dr. Kevin Kempf is patient, compassionate and professional. I am very satisfied with the care and attention that I have received not only by him but by his entire staff!

COMPLICATED PTS. I WROTE A VERY LONG COMMENT, BUT I DID NOT FINISH I DR. KEMPF IS ONE OF A KIND THE BEST DOCTOR. I HAVE HAD A LONG JOURNEY WITH THIS DISEASE AND IT IS TUFF TO MOVE SOMETIMES. I THINK IT HAS MADE ME STRONGER, BECAUSE I WENT TO COLLEGE TO BE REGISTERED NURSE. IT WAS HARD, BUT QUIT WAS NOT AN OPTION. THE LAST TERM I HAD PNEUMONIA MY INSTRUCTOR, TOLD ME THAT SHE HAD PNEUMONIA, AND SHE DIDN'T THINK IT WOULD BE A PROBLEM, BUT I COULD NOT MISS CLINICALS, I WAS THERE I WAS IN ICU AND MY PATIENT TOLD ME SIT DOWN & TALK TO HIM, PTS. ARE WONDERFUL, AND I WORKED 29 YRS. BEFORE I MY STARTED FALLING AND I WOULD NOT TAKE THAT CHANCE I LEFT AND IT HURT LEAVING MY PTS. THE DOCTORS THAT ENJOYED WORKING WITH ALONG WITH ALL THE NURSES. I HAVE READ A REVIEW THAT WAS MEAN AND UNCALLED FOR SHAME ON YOU. DR. KEMPF HAS BEEN MY DOCTOR SINCE 2005 AND BELIEVE ME, IT'S TIME I HAVE A LOT OF RESPECT HIM AS A PERSON AND A DOCTOR ONCE I THOUGHT I HAD APPOINTMENT, I WAS NOT FEELING WELL I ASK HIM… IF HE COULD DRAW SOME BLOOD. I LEFT THAT EVENING HE CALLED ME SOUNDED VERY CONCERN, HE TOLD ME TO WRITE THESE LABS DOWN AND GO THE HOSPITAL. THAT IS EXCELLENT. NOW THAT IS A THE SIGN OF A GREAT.I AM VERY THANKFUL TO HIM FOR EVERY THING HE HAS DONE FOR ME AND I KNOW HIS PATIENTS FEEL THE SAME. I HAVE PRAY FOR HIM AND THE STAFF. IT'S SOMETHING I AM ABLE TO DO. HAVE NOT SEEN ALL HIS DOCTORS OF THE MONTH.

I have never met a more caring and compassionate doctor in my life. I have been suffering with problems for years and have seen a plethora of physicians of all kinds. I had to wait three months to get in but one thing I’ve learned is if you can get in quickly there is a reason. A great doctor is a busy doctor because he/she is sought after. Better to wIt and get the right care than go through the pitfalls of misdiagnosis and and superficial approach. In my case it turned out I had Hypothyroidism which I had no idea. He was such a great listener and refreshingly reassuring that we would get to the bottom of all this. I was so happy I just wanted to hug him. His staff was great as well. Best experience I’ve ever had.

This doctor should seriously consider a new profession and not one which entails working or consulting with others. At my last visit with him, he became enraged and cursed and raised his voice to me. I was so stunned that I was rendered speechless. As he began his rant, his face turned bright red and he could not contain himself. He should really consider anger management! He dismissed me from his practice, in a letter, the next day. That truly did not need to happen because I would have NEVER returned.

I have been a patient of Dr. Kemph's for at least 5 years. He genuinely cares for all his patients. I have been to others where you feel like a dollar sign. Not here. He is kind and understanding toward me and makes me feel as if I am the only one in the office during the time I have with him. He does not rush you. He understands how I feel, he has empathy. I am so much better off than I was because of his knowledge.

I have been having a particular painful, problem for the last six months. I have been to several doctors and it just seems that none of them have TIME FOR YOU!!! Dr. Kempf came in, pulled up a chair (had someone else typing notes into a computer so he could actually look me in the eye and listen to what I had to describe) and LISTENED!! After spending about 20 minutes with me, he said he was not the kind of doctor I needed and proceeded to POINT ME IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION...Other doctors I have gone to have just pushed me to the next person! This man is a TRIBUTE to his profession. If only we had more doctors like him!
