Dr. Kevin G Kotar, DO

I had a bad sinus infection. Went to Med Express on a Sunday and the medication was not working. It was three days before the opening of my play and I called Dr. Kotar for an urgent appt. Not only did I get in same day, but he gave me medication that knocked out the infection right before the show! and I got a great review in the paper too! Thank Dr. Kotar. You are truly the best!

Dr. Kotar is patient, informative, and thorough. However, his medical assistant makes errors and doesn't even realize the significance of her errors. The receptionist staff is rude and judgmental. They are not qualified to make medical judgements or determine if your problems are ordinary and should wait a month for an appointment. When you try to tell them why you need seen now, you are made fun of for looking things up on the internet--which she assumed but wasn't the case!!! It was a humiliating experience trying to schedule an appointment. Their signs in the office state "Call us first when you are sick", yet it will be the receptionist that will determine if you warrant being seen by the doctor. An urgent care facility doesn't have a gate keeper before you are allowed to see a doctor. When you come into the office to check in, you can be told to step in a line to wait. When you are sick, it can be hard to stand for 15 mins waiting. But, since you are told to stand and wait, you… are afraid of losing your place if you sit down. I have had two successive visits that had these things occur. It is hard to go top the doctors as it is--I have never gone except for necessary physicals. It is even harder when you feel like the staff doesn't even like you!

I switched to Dr. Kotar after 20+ years with former PCP and I'm glad I did. Dr. Kotar tries to find the root of issues BEFORE prescribing yet another medication. My old PCP would go right to a new pill. I think I have gotten off of 3 meds...maybe 4..since switching to Dr. Kotar. He listens to what I have to say and is very understanding and caring. He even explains things in a way that a non-medical professional can understand. I have recommended him to many

I love Dr. Kotar. Every diagnosis he has given me has been spot on and wait times to see him are great and he is super nice. Can't recommend him higher and my whole family goes to him now. If there was a 6th star, he would get that from me too.

Best doctor in the country,his is mine and my husband's PCP,he takes time with you, he is the first PCP to notice Bob had rheumatoid arthritis, gave the info to a rheumatoid doctor.
