Dr. Kevin Lee Pounds

Dr. Kevin pound is an incredible doctor, focused and I couldn’t say he cared for my son more than he cared for me, equally awesome. With sports, physicals on short notice, they were super accommodating. As a single mom juggling so much, I needed a detailed doctor and sometimes on a short notice. He was injured in sports, had tonsils needed removed, and so much care. Throughout the years, he found an ovation cyst and kept an eye on my esophagus problems. My son was afraid of needles and the biggest baby, but they were gentle and he loved Dr. pound as he was kind, spoke to him directly, and as my son would say, funny. His staff were very attentive to us always. Now that my son is grown with his new baby coming soon, I hope he will bring his family to Dr pound as I would trust him with the next generation! Have been his patient for over 11 years. Would say he is one of the best! Would not change docters.

I have unfortunately been a patient of Dr. Pounds for 15 years. As time went by I began to see that he did not like me as a person, and his care showed that. I am a registered nurse take care of many people I personally do not like, but my professionalism insures that I take good care of them regardless. I treat all patients equally, but he does not. Many times he is downright rude, and he has as much as said by his actions that he thinks I am faking my conditions and am looking for drugs. The only time he was halfway nice was when he found out I had cancer, but his niceness didn't last long. He will talk down to you even if you are well educated. Feels like he is biding his time until he can retire. Choose another doctor!!!! I have.

Dr. Pounds missed a cancerous growth I pointed out for over two years as an unhealing soar. This over rides all his other work and I can not trust his judgement for my health issues. Kind of says it all doesn't it.

Dr. Pounds is a kind and caring doctor who treats the "whole" patient, not just the physical problems. He answers ALL my questions, explains things clearly, and is very good at reassuring me. He listens and hears! He also has a fabulous sense of humor. His assistant Sabrina in wonderful, and the office is clean and pleasant. I am thrilled to be one of his patients!

Dr. Pounds was confrontive and did not communicate with me in a respectful manner. He did not tell me he was going to refer me to a Specialist. He seemed unwilling to act as my primary care provider because I am only a winter visitor to Tucson and accused me of "Doctor Shopping" for my medications! I felt defensive. Not a good match for me at all!
