Dr. Kristine Grace Juntunen, MD

This 'doctor' types your patient comments at a frightening speed, then forgets everything you've said, forcing you to remind and repeat, each and every subsequent visit (record keeping incompetence). Her staff turnover rate is stunning, and the office atmosphere is the worst I've ever felt. The techs and nurses seem to fear (they cautiously criticize her to the patient, making for a very uncomfortable experience). She seems to have a major ego problem versus female patients in particular (does NOT tolerate patient input that does not necessarily 'agree' with her opinions - see them as "challenges" to her authority) with paranoid overtones (I am a psychologist). Recommend: NO.

Dr. Juntunen spends as much time with the patient as the patient needs. She makes sure medications don't interact with each other, don't cause weight gain, and that the medication will be covered by the patient's insurance.

very caring with accurate diagnosis

A reasonably polite, courteous physician. Communicative. But medical knowledge VERY sub par. Disappointingly so. She misses flags and offers contradictory medical advice. Prescribes contraindicated meds and has only superficial knowledge of sub specialties within internal medicine. NOT completely honest, she sidesteps responsibility and offers somewhat childish excuses to the patient for her carelessness. Seemingly nice person, however, with a pleasant staff, although that staff is likewise underequipped where medical knowledge is concerned (poorly educated).

I moved here about 1-1/2 years ago from St. Louis and was very concerned about finding a good doctor. I did!!

I am so pleased going to this doctor. I have had all good experiences with her. She listens very carefully. I would recommend this doctor and her office staff to anyone-family or friend. She is the best doctor I have had so far.

What I really like about Dr. Juntunen is that she keeps current in the field by perusing various non-pharmaceutical sponsored studies and then passing on her recommendations to her patients.
