Dr. Leonard Doberne, MD

He’s a horrible doctor. I went in with my mother in law to talk about a diagnosis he took from blood work. He was so upset when I asked him for further testing. He started questioning what I did as a living. Then started going off on how further testing wasn’t needed and so forth. He was so upset I was in the room asking questions about further treatment. My mother in law had different appointments with other doctors and they were appalled to know that there was no game plan in store for an adrenal gland tumor (which is what he diagnosed her with by doing bloodwork). I also stated this to him. He looked me straight in the eye and said, “have them do the test”. I said,” excuse me, but you’re the doctor who diagnosed her and you don’t want to further test her to make sure that is what she has?” He was extremely rude and speaking to me in a very condescending way. He started talking to my mother in law and I pulled out my phone to check a message that my husband had text me. (He was in… waiting room). He started accusing me that I was recording him. And proceded to be rude and trying to make me show him my recordings. I insisted I wouldn’t show him because that’s not his business. It’s my private phone. Needless to say. He kept saying open your recordings and let me see. I said no. So he started throwing a fit and said my phone wasn’t allowed to be in the room if my mother in law wanted to keep having her appointment. I tried handing my phone to my Husband but he was already outside. So no one could take my phone. He looked at my mother in law and said, “then we are done” I told my mother in law I would go outside. And he proceeds to tell me, “ you know recording a doctor...” I cut him off and said “it’s illegal and I wasn’t recording you.” (I’m in the medical field, I know what’s legal and not) I looked at my mother in law and told her. You need a new doctor. This is NOT a friendly doctor that you can ask questions to or else he gets so rude and nasty. He doesn’t like to be questioned. STAY CLEAR FROM HIM IF YOU WANT YOUR FAMILY OR YOURSELF WITH A FRIENDLY AND CARING DOCTOR. HES THE WORST. I’ve taken many patients and family members to different specialist, doctor and surgeons and NONE OF THEM SPOKE TO OR TREATED THEIR PATIENTS LIKE THIS MAN DID. STAY AWAY. WE ARE NEVER COMING HERE AGAIN. HE JUST WANTS THE MONEY AND DOESNT CARE ABOUT HIS PATIENTS.

Dr. Doberne combines his vast skills as a clinician with warmth and compassion. He is completely thorough, not stopping until he has investigated all the issues pertinent to the illness. His follow-up is always timely-he doesn't like to keep patients waiting for information, he knows how hard that is. I have been his patient for many years and have never had anything less than a great result under his care.

I've seen several endo doctors for my thyroid disease, and Dr. Doberne is absolutely the best endocrinologist you can imagine. He is extremely caring and pays attention to details. He's very scientific and thorough. I feel very comfortable asking him questions about my disease, and he always explains them very well with great patience. Dr. Doberne makes the world a better place every day, and I hope there are more doctors like him.

While for the most part I dont have a problem with this doctor, he sometimes can come off abrupt and sometimes I felt like he was talking down to me. His staff in person is alright, but on the phone they are pretty rude. I dont think I would recommend this office.

Dr. Doberne recently did a series of biopsies on my thyroid (nodules). I was completely relaxed and painfree during the entire time. I knew what was going on at all times -- and even got to see a video of the biopsies being taken afterward. This procedure was easy, and Dr. Doberne and his staff were great with me and very relaxed in what they were doing. I have complete trust in his abilities as my doctor. The gentle bedside manner is a huge plus, too! It was very obvious that they care about me as a person -- and not just during this procedure, but whenever they interact with me. Although this may sound scary to have done, it was a piece of cake!

Excellent Doctor. He is thoughtful and thorough in his approach and is up on all the most recent research. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Dr. D. treated me through 2 gestational diabetes pregnancies & gave me the utmost attention & service. We spoke almost daily to adjust my insulin dosages - even on weekends! He even checked up on me in the hospital after I gave birth! His degree of knowledge, patience, understanding & empathy has been unmatched by any other doctor in my life.
