They never called me to make an appointment for me. When I emailed them, they never responded. Don't recommend since they don't care for their patients

Since 2001 ive suffered from a severe neck injury. I had double disc replacement on Oct 22, 2018. Everything he told me was spot on. Pain coming out of surgery was very intense however today (day two) I am feeling very little pain on no meds other than 400 mg of ibuprofen. I am up on my feet and its absolutely a miracle. His staff is absolutely wonderful and the nurses were great. This doctor is absolutely brilliant. He’s a man of few words but huge action! Thank you Dr. Shokes !

Reschedules without notice, poor communication

Dr. Shokes recommended back surgery after a 2 minute "exam" in the office, and didn't even bother to look at the MRI pictures. 2 subsequent opinions (from board certified surgeons] did not recommend surgery, but to start with alternate procedures. I would highly recommend getting second opinions if you've been sent to him as your "specialist".

My 15 year old son broke his wrist and was in a full arm cast for 12 weeks because it was on a growth plate. Dr. Shokes was wonderful with him...even changed the cast 6 weeks in for us because it was stinking so bad! Can't recommend him enough. He rocks!

After a bad fall, I was taken to the ER. It was determined that my right ankle/foot was fractured. With no current medical insurance, I was referred to Dr. Leslie Shokes by the hospital where I was treated. Having diabetes, my first concern was to obtain follow up treatment of my injured foot. So I made the next available appointment with Dr. Shokes. Although the office staff and nurses were very nice and caring, I was so disappointed with Dr. Shokes. He only said a few words to me, did not examine or even look at my foot. He said he could not do anything until he sees x-rays, so he has me "walk" approx. 800 yards to have x-rays taken. I was charged $109.00 for absolutely nothing and another $99.00 for x-rays! Dr. Shokes did not want me to return until the following week and was going to charge me another $100 for that visit!
