Dr. Lloyd Douglas Berkowitz, MD

I have been with Dr Berkowitz since I was diagnosed with Primary Peritoneal Carcinoma. I was terrified after reading about my diagnosis. Dr B was calm and explained everything I needed to know. Once I started treatment I was fortunate enough to do really well and from then we have informative and fun appointments with him every three weeks. I find him a person who can read a person well and when I was frightened he was calm and gentle and explained every thing I needed to know and answered all of our questions. Now that I’m feeling well and responding well to my treatment, we enjoy our appointments and tell each other stories. I believe he saved my life and kept me from having a very invasive surgery that wouldn’t have helped me much. And he still answers all my questions.

I had started treatment of metastatic melanoma in Pittsburgh. I needed an oncologist in Delray Beach. I was fortunate to find Dr Berkowitz. He is. a kind, thoughtful extremely bright physician.

Dr. Berkowitz is an intelligent man who prescribes spot on, listens and fields all your questions. Cancer treatment requires an artist and Dr. Berkowitz paints the best canvas. So many new treatment opportunities and the Doctor needs to keep up with the treatment availabilities. HE DOES!!!!

Dr. Berkowitz is a kind and compassionate physician who takes the time to listen to all of your complaints and true true with his expertise.

Dr. Berkowitz treated my mother when she had lymphoblastic lymphoma. He is a superb physician and knows what he is doing. Although he is not the chatty type, he is kind and caring. We had almost two good years with my mother before she lost her battle with cancer, due to his care. He also gave excellent advice about the kinds of extreme treatments to avoid, if they were recommended during a second opinion (which we did not seek), because they would do more harm than good. You can trust Dr. Berkowitz with the most difficult and complex cases.

if he was asked a question regarding my husband's cancer care treatment, he seemed annoyed and answered in three words. He had the worst bedside manner of any doctor we have seen. No connection and no patience.

He is wonderful, handsome and witty.
