Dr. L doesn't listen to her patients. Quick to judge patient and belittle patient.

T Dr. Letkomiller's style is a dictatorship. She feels she knows best and does not listen to the patient. She is cold and uncaring. I wouldn't recommend her to anyone.

In Dr. Letkomiller, we find compassion and great bedside manner. She is friendly and we feel very smart in her field of medicine. She has helped us many times over. Pushing to help us get the things we need. We Highly recommend this Doctor.

I have been a patient of Dr. Letkomiller's for 6 years. I'm through. She's at best personable but both her and her staff are a nightmare to work with. I was late 10 minutes to an appointment after driving a half an hour (40 miles through bad traffic) to make the appointment and was forced to reschedule, but they didn't have an appointment until a week and an half later. Her staff said they would renew my prescriptions regardless but then nothing happened. They didn't call the pharmacy like they said they would and they didn't call me. I called the next day, Dr not available, called the next day, Dr there but didn't get to it, called the next day then she refused to renew my prescriptions until she saw me. This included sleeping medication AND heart medication that I was completely out of. Probably the worst version of this is that I had my medications stolen when I moved last year by movers. Called and was told the Dr would call me to get the prescriptions re-filled. No one called.… Called next day and was told a nurse would call me. No one called. Called the next day and was told by Dr's staff that I would have to wait a month to have my medications refilled. Then I was told I would have to have a police report. Police report couldn't be ready for two days but police expedited the report. Did that and then was told I would actually have the ACTUAL report faxed. Then told I would have to hand deliver it. Fortunately, a very kind policeman called me who saw what was going on and helped me get the report that day and said he knew what it was like not to get the medications that one needed. It took a week for the prescriptions to get refilled. She also wanted me to stay on a medication that had horrible side effects - serious nausea and sight problems. She said I would get used to it. This problem has been going on since the first year I saw Dr. Letkomiller. I stayed with her because it's so hard to go through it all with a new doctor. I don't care anymore. I'm done. I cannot recommend her in any way. It's been an absolute nightmare.

I have a complex medical history, she denied speaking to a previous MD of mine, by saying she had just spoken to him, but it was about another patient, Why tell me this? She is a diabetic specialist. I don't have this condition. At the end of the appointment, after I gave her pertinent information, which she mentioned NOTHING about to me, she said, is that all you want is a Vit D level? Do not recommend. She ignored my current symptoms and I have to go to another MD because of failure to treat. She also did not Rx anything for the low Vit D, but sent a letter stating the current treatment I am doing is ok. Really?

I did like that the office was clean & the wait time was minimal. I needed a new General Pactioner for medication refills and colds, etc., only. What Dr. Lektomiller does spend time with her patients. Though, what I did not find professional was that she disregarded & rediagnosed my previous complex and serious diagnosis, which took 3 years of 7 Specialists (not general practioners and the best in their fields at a highly rated speciality hospital in the US) after just one visit. During this one visit she had not yet gotten any of my previous records and only provided a short physical exam which included the usual regular visit exams such as heart rate, pulse, weight, temperature, and listening of the chest. I continued to be polite about it even though I was very worried about the care I just received. I had made a quick question about her diagnosis which I believe she had taken that as an attack on her abilities as a doctor? She began belittling me, my previous doctors and in not… so many words accused me of faking my illness. I will not go back to Dr. Lektomiller, myself or recommend to my family or friends if asked. Though, I am sure she probably is a good doctor in her field as general pactioner. I just would advise other patients to not question her diagnosis if you do choose to be her patient. As for the staff & Dr. Lektomiller together at the end of my appointment Dr. Lektomilker handed her nurse a diagnosis report to give to me as I was leaving. By the elevators, I noticed they had given me someone else's report which had all of their medical and personal information on it, which I promptly returned to their front desk and to get my own. So, that was a serious unethical fopaux on Dr. Lecktomiller and staffs part, I would say. Also, when I brought it back to the staff at the desk, they made a joke about it like it wasn't a big deal. I do hope that isn't normal practice for them for the sake of their ongoing patients? Though, everyone does have bad days, I just personally want the best care I can find and even though I'd only saw her once to call it quits myself, might not mean she is a horrible doctor. I just personally had a horrible experience with her and her staff.

The doctor herself is fine but her staff is not. Calling back with result of tests takes weeks. Responding to requests for prescription refills takes a long time as well even after repeated requests by the pharmacy. Scheduling appointments is difficulty and they cancel/try to reschedule on the same day of the appointment even though the appointment was scheduled weeks ago and they called the day before to confirm appointment. Reason told was because they had "overbooked" appointments. Is this an airline or a doctor's office? Next appointment available was another 2 weeks away.

My first experience with Dr. Letkomiller concerned me because I was recommended to her and had a relatively rare medical issue. She spent most of the first meeting in front of her computer looking things up as I talked with her.I guess I was prejudiced wanting someone who knew everything.But, as I've gotten to know her over the past 18 months, I'm glad that she's not afraid to search and see what people are saying about medicines, diagnoses, etc.If she doesn't know, she says that she'll do more research and that's fine with me.
