Dr. Lowell Frederick Clark, MD

Regarding Lowell F. Clark, M.D., and Maria Rophelia Paras, A.P.R.N., at Clark Clinic's Oxford location: This clinic told me it accepted my insurance but assigned me to Paras, who was not in my network, and I wound up having to pay more for visits. The Oxford clinic is frequently closed and unreachable on the phone. In December 2023, I had a question about a prescription and called the Oxford clinic for two days. I never got an answer, and no one responded to my message. I was left to decide on my own about taking the prescription. Then Paras was a no-show for an appointment. I was told she would call in for a telemedicine visit. She didn’t. This place is an absolute disgrace with a lack of professionalism and a lack of responsibility. Clark Clinic endangers patients’ health.

I can never reach anybody in Dr Clark's office. You can call dozen times and not get anybody that you can talk to. I've had the wrong medication sent more than once by this office. I've been trying to get my asthma medication for 3 days and I can't get a hold of anybody in that office nor is there an answering machine that takes your message. You wait on hold and then it hangs up on you. When I had back injury last month they made me drive to the farthest office 20 some miles away in order to be seen. If you're looking for a new doctor I wouldn't look here.

This is the worst Medical office I have ever visited. The Doctor did a prescription for a Serum, it was not what I requested. The Pharmacy immediately sent back a requested to have it corrected to a Cream. I personally made phone calls for Four days, left messages, no one called back. I also spoke to three different persons on different days who promised to have the situation corrected, so far no luck. I may have to do the 40min. drive back to the office to try and have this rectified.

Clark Clinic in Assisted Living was my mom’s medical providers for 11 months. In that time, I never got a call from the doctor when she prescribed medications. Clark Clinic has a: Lack of urgency for UTI sample; Lack of responsiveness when contacted by pharmacy for inadequate information to fill scripts; Inaccurate attention to detail- When a script was filled incorrectly by the doctor (1/2 of normal dose)and without evaluation by a cardiologist, the doctor was not honest about the mistake. I am profoundly disappointed in this organization and the fact that they are riding on the good name of Mayo Clinic. The doctor spent less than a minute with my mom and didn’t even bring mom’s file to the room. I happened to be in the room at the time and got to see the doctor ask mom- a dementia patient- questions. My mom cannot answer questions-I am her memory. CC knows this because of the numerous faxes I have sent telling them to talk to me. You cannot get a return call from them, you… cannot leave a message (all mailboxes are full). HOWEVER, You can expect them to collect their fee from Medicare. That was the only way I knew mom was seen!

Attended more than 3 appointments at the Howey-In-The-Hills location (not necessarily by choice). Tried to give them a chance, but was more than disgusted. The offices and lobby are filthy. The floors look like they haven't been swept in weeks. There is no privacy during your appt. Other patient's conversations could be heard through the walls. One "office" is an open area just inside the lobby door. The doctor I saw could not get the quantity and dosages right on medications. Had to schedule additional appts in order to even discuss the doctor's error. Doctor won't admit he made errors. He ordered an antibiotic while in the office, yet failed to get it ordered at the pharmacy. Office staff have poor communication. They failed to inform me that the female practioner didn't come to work the day of my appt and I drove 30 minutes for an appt that was a cancelled when I showed up. Terrible! Unfortunately, some of us patients are dependent on these community facilities because of income and… poor insurance coverage.

My father was under the care( should say lack of care) of this organization. 1) assigned physician never examined my father over course of 3 months and after multiple falls. Supposedly read charts, and did visual inspections from doorway. 2) poor communication with family caregivers and co treating agencies. Not available or communicative with nursing staff who are really the ones shouldering the burden of care. Clarke reaps the financial reward without putting processes in place to improve care. Thank goodness for nurses, who do the best they can without any real leadership or best practices in place. Really low standard of care. Trust me, you can & should find better.

communications disaster to start. management non existent. third world health care. could be dangerous for patient.

He treat people well and tell you about your health when you are sick.Wait time is almost 11/2 TO 2 HOURS, Not his fault, They have too many people at office and some times you have too wait outside.

long wait times, ont really listen, office staff lie,s wont work with you, dont relay message half times not in office, takes three wks to get anythimg done, passes the buck to other reason not getting thind one , really upset with the sysem!!!!!!!!!

Dr. Clark is fantastic. Unfortunately, his office staff is not. They treat patients discourtesly, are lousy on follow up and follow through. You cannot depend on the staff at all. There is a lot of turnover among staff as well. There are constant changes to procedures which disrupts the office and thus the patients. Caught one of the staff in an actual lie about essential paperwork for a specialist. It's a shame such a good doctor has such a poor staff.
