Dr. Ma Thuzar Aung, MD

I have been a patient for 10 years, and on the day I was to have my annual exam this month, I received a call from Dr. Aung's office saying she was only taking patients over the age of 65 now (Medicare). No longer taking commercial insurance (BCBS). I had already done my bloodwork! and talked to their office the day before - they wanted to do a virtual office visit, which was fine. Needless to say, I now have to wait 3 months to get into another Doctor. I still cannot believe how unprofessional and badly this change in their office was done. I was speechless. Just, sorry, find another doctor.

Dr. Hung has been my primary care for several years. I can’t say enough good things about her she’s very caring doctor and very knowledgeable. She has always been very respectful and caring and listens to what I have to say. I have never been rushed out of her office and have never waited for more than 30 minutes to see her.

She refused to take me on as a patient even after my insurance company made her my primary care doctor because I was hiv-positive she said she would take heart disease diabetes and many other kinds of patients but not an HIV patient she made me feel very bad and then she shooed me out of her office

I was there for 3 hours. 4 minutes of which I spent with the doctor. The young man believe he was a technician (I’m not sure his title) was very kind and caring.. the two woman on her staff very cold and came of as uncaring as did the doctor. The doctor did not let me get into any of my health issue concerns. I would start to say something about one of my health conditions she’d cut me off right away and would say I would have to see such and such a doctor for that... I would say I know that, I already have terrific specialists . You as my primary doctor should know what’s going on with me. That was about 4 minutes worth. She told me she wanted me to have some blood work done then would go over them in a week. I had to give one Star because there were no place to put zero. Doctor was very cold, uncaring, and made you feel worse than before going in. Needless to say I will not be going back.

Dr. Aung has treated both my of elderly parents for several years. I have also been a patient of hers for the last eight years. She is thorough in her exams and is a compassionate listener. She has referred us to competent specialists and surgeons. She sees you as soon as possible if you have a concern and all telephone inquires to her office are answered in a timely manner. Lab tests are taken on site. Highly recommend her.

Waited 90 mins to see Dr Aung. When I mentioned my dissatisfaction, she ignored me - twice. I work too, and the disrespect for my time is unacceptable. While I was on the exam table getting an EKG, she frequently opened the door so I was in full view of anyone walking past. Her bedside manner leaves a lot to be desired.

We were new patients to Dr Aung. We gave her a list of our medications to be ordered. One of mine was ordered in the wrong dosage. My husband has 2 medications. One was ordered and one was not. The order was sent after we inquired. He ran out before order was received. Requested office call in to Walgreens. They never did. Called office again. They said they had 72 hrs to order it. They still never ordered it. My husband was without his heart medication for 5 days until mail order came.

Very very good involves you in decisions gives you time to explain your problems

I was very tense during examination. She suggested that I wait another 5 years to have a Pap smear due to my tenseness and age, 57. I've had a positive pap before and had freezing. Is this really the best advice? I thanked her and she ignored me. The worse Pap smear I have ever had before.
