Dr. Mark James Flood, MD

I am incredibly grateful to have Dr. Flood, as not only is he a psychiatrist but an expert as a pharmacologist too! He has helped me tremendously through so many situations with his insight, his extremely valuable advice and his wide range of knowledge. He is so genuine and bent over backwards to help me, and I cannot imagine my life without him as I can always count on him.. it’s a great comfort to know he’s always in my corner and giving me peace of mind and direction. There is no one like him. He’s the most honest unconscientious doctor I have ever known. I’m much stronger and more focused thanks to him.. Dr. Flood is one in 1 million. He is the “resl deals” The office staff is really terrific. It’s so easy to access them and make appointments and not get a voicemail with seven prompts. Besides, they are very kind.

Stay away. He has no compassion. Left me traumatized by his feedback

I have known Dr. Flood for 15 years. He is a Godsend! The most honest, kind, genuine, knowledgeable Dr. ever. He makes you feel like you’re a team. He listens, really cares and gives excellent feedback. Dr. Flood is in a league of his own, truly one in a million. He is light years ahead of other psychiatrists. I have an amazing life that works thanks to him! I feel so grateful and extremely lucky to have him in my corner and know that he’s ALWAYS there for me when I need. What more could one ask for? He is the BEST by far in the tri-state area. I highly recommend him to friends and family.

I called for appointment after reading all the great reviews. I was told the Doctor does not take any insurance and the 1st visit is $450 and after $150. That's just not right. How can people afford to see him.

I love Dr. Flood but the office is horrible. Always at least a half hour late, often 45 minutes but the one time I was 5 minutes late I was declared late and had to pay for the missing appointment. The front desk staff is rude and took 3 days of me calling repeatedly to get them to call in an EMERGENCY prescription. If Dr Flood moves practices I will come back, but the office is honestly ridiculous.

Your front desk staff need sensitivity training as they make fun of and laugh at patients that come to see you for mental health issues. Shame on them and shame on you for letting it happen.

Knowledgeable and easy to talk to. Very astute.

He is amazing!!!!

I have been a patient of Dr. Mark Floods for close to 25 years. He is superior in his field not just because of his keen intellect. He is understanding, kind, compassionate, and just generally a great guy! He doesn't rush you out of his office (like most drs.). Dr. Flood gives you his time. Which is something that most physicians lack!! His office staff is wonderful and accommodating (another bonus). If your not happy w/him then you won't be happy with any psychiatrist. I highly recommend him!!!

I will make this short and sweet. Dr. Flood is a unique physician. He's not a pill pusher and is brutally honest. Which is where most doctors fall short. Smart, caring, and sensitive to patients needs. I've had a very hard time finding other doctors that can match his qualities. One visit and you will look no further! Great physician/person all around! Highly recommend him!!!
