It is refreshing when a doctor or other skilled professional admits they are not the best person to see for a given issue. Dr. Lorenze was friendly and honest and helpful, referring us to a specialist who isn't even in the Middlesex group. We also were impressed with the entire friendly and helpful staff at the Madison facility.

Excellent care and knowledge

I've was a patient of Dr.Lorenze for almost 20 years. I have sent friends, family and co-workers to him over the years. I'm not sure what's happening with him but his attitude went from one of the best to horrible. Six months out of surgery and a second opinion later, I'm looking at having my knee's replaced again. He basically brushed me off regarding the pain. I could not believe it. I think he knew he screwed up and was looking to get rid of a revision surgery and the "black eye" that comes with it regarding a failed surgery. I had to go elsewhere. I still can't use stairs and in pain 24/7. Kneecaps have tracked horribly to the sides. I'm still blown away at his change. He says theres no challenge to replacing knees, it's simple. I stood by Dr. Lorenze for almost twenty years (my mistake) and now face two more surgeries, at least a year and half more of pain and the cost of doing them over again. DO NOT get knee's replaced by him.

I have found Dr Lorenze to be highly professional and efficient. He doesn't immediately shoot to the most evasive procedure first, which I appreciate. A person my age could easily have gone for the knee replacement, but we are investigating other options first. Thank you!
