My mother had a terrible experience with the overnight sleep study. Probes glued all over her body and an uncomfortable night of the mask blowing off her face without any other options being offered. High pressure air was being blown into her stomach and eyes, the assistant wouldn't even tell her how high they turned her pressure up. She left bloated, dry eyed, burping and extremely fatigued with no new information about her sleep apnea or CPAP machines. They just told her she needs the machine or she'll die. Disgusting!

The man has no personality , I give her one star.

This guy is an absolute piece of feces.Hands down. Worthless.

Poor interpersonal skill. Cut my appointment short because I got upset with him after he mocked me.

I went to see Dr. Rasmus because I have had to use sleep aids for over 15 years. At my appointment, he spent very little time listening to my concerns which is primarily that I want off sleep meds. It was very much a cookie-cutter operation. I did the tests, and even though my numbers were not in the range for a CPAP treatment, that is still what he suggested. The follow up was less than 10 minutes long. He took no time to listen or suggest options. Of course, I got a huge bill that I am going to have to make payments on---all for nothing. This operation is a scam

I had a fine experience with Dr. Rasmus and a fine follow-up with Cynthia, the Nurse Practitioner. I was determined not to have sleep apnea, but hypopnea, and a home pulse oximeter study was ordered. I downgraded 1 star for follow-up on the oximeter results. My GP has the report, so I know the results are done, but they cannot interpret the data. So I have to call Dr. Ramus' office for the result. As far as bringing up weight loss, that was done with me as well -- it's the truth. I know I'm fat, they know I'm fat and there are health consequences to consider. Not a problem for me to talk about. Overall, my experience was satisfactory.

I am shocked at these negative reviews. Here it is folks, if you don't do what he says you need to do, he is going to call you out on it. He did it to me and he was right. I have sleep apnea. I absolutely hate it and wearing my cpap, but if I don't, I stop breathing. It's like some of you just don't want to hear the truth. As far as one person on hear saying she has no idea why he did another sleep study, it's because you have to in order to know what to set your machine to. The first one diagnosis the condition, the second shows them what type of machine and what settings you need. As far as bedside manner, Dr. Rasmus always asks me how I'm doing. He always remembers my profession as his sister is in the same line of work and we chat. My daughter had severe sleep apnea at 4 years old and he diagnosed it and said she needed her tonsils out which cured her. I don't think he is trying to line his pockets. How do I know? Because I asked for another study hoping it would show… I didn't have apnea so I wouldn't have to wear the mask and he said no, it's too expensive to just do. I think some of you, want your butts kissed. Get over it!

I just can't believe the way Dr. Rasmus treats me each time I go into see him for my disabled son. He acts like I have the brain size of a pea. He condescends to speak to me and doesn't enjoy spending more than four minutes per visit as this would sabotage his doctor's routine. I am afraid to ask questions as this would lengthen my visits with him. Anytime I am brave enough to ask questions, I get the condescending attitude that comes with this god-like piece of work. He was curt with me because I had apparently "forgotten" to get a simple blood test done for my son. He underlined twice ( loudly, so that I might take notice of my failure) that he had to remind me twice to get it done. I would NEVER recommend this uncaring, snob for a doctor to anyone I love and care about.

Ditto the other comments. Rude, etc. but his course of treatment made no sense either. He didn't even discuss treating the PLMD that he diagnosed me with. I paid over $700 for his analysis of the sleep study and the appointment with him and at the end had only a vague understanding of what had happened during the night and I why I would be so wiped out every day. The sleep lab staff was very nice - I wish I could have gone to them for an analysis of the sleep study. Ironically I was given a form to fill out on what I thought of the sleep lab staff but no satisfaction survey on the doctor - ha ha.

I had seen mark rasmus for some sleep issues. He has no idea how to handle patient relations and will become angry with you. I tried to talk to him about the issues I was having and he flat out called me a liar. On a previous appointment the way he talked about a weight gain was very disrespectful. The fact that he brought it up didnt bother me but it was the way he brought it up and the way he talks down to his patients. If he has treated me, a 6'3 young man, with this kind of disrespect I would hate to see how he has treated others that he tries to intimidate. He makes you feel like you owe him something when in fact he as done nothing for you. His nurses and other staff are excelent which makes me feel badly for them if they have to put up with him treating them like this. How anyone gets away with this kind of blatant disrespect is astonishing.
