Philly residents are blessed to have Dr. Marlene Moster, a world-class ophthalmologist in Bala Cynwyd and at Wills Eye Hospital. She saved my husband’s sight despite a very bad eye injury earlier in his life that required three operations. We’ve seen people from all walks of life who need her specialized skills, gentle hands, and always reassuring, fun, and cheerful words. Recently I needed her help as well, to save both my long distance and close-up sight as a birder. She knew just the right lenses to recommend so that I don’t have to string reading glasses around my neck to see and to write notes about the birds. Dr. Moster greeted me each time before the surgery with her good cheer and prepared me for the preparatory laser step. Her staff members are always just as kind and gentle as she is, and are well informed about the various tests they shepherd us through to give her information about each patient. We’ll always be grateful to her! She’s the best!

Dr. Moster did a successful zen procedure on my right eye last May. My pressure had been a whopping 58. It is now 15. I am most unappreciative of her talent. She and her staff were highly professional yet down to earth. Thank you all.

Dr. Marlene R. Moster MD. saved my eye. I had an acute angular closure in my left eye. My eye pressure was 65 . Which caused a lot of damage to my eye. She made me feel completely at ease with this most difficult surgery. I could have lost my eye. She repaired most of the damage. I will always suffer with glaucoma. i am a 69 year old patient of Dr. Moster who has been managing my glaucoma successfully in both eyes for 20 years. Recently my right eye stopped responding to (3)medications and pressure hit mid 40s. She recommended a non invasive (GATT) surgery explaining in full detail the entire procedure and what to expect. The day after my surgery, pressure dropped to 27. A week later pressure is at 18 with just 1 drop of medication.... Thank you, Dr . Moster

Dr. Moster is one of the top rated Doctor in America, she is especially friendly and genuinely cares about her patients. She has performed Trabeculectomy surgery on both my eyes, my eye pressure was in the 40's without medication, and high 30's with meds. Now 6 months after surgery my right eye is at 11 and my left is at 13 after 1 month. I am very pleased to have such a great surgeon in my area. Surgery is performed at renowned Wills eye Hospital, with great staff. Can't say enough of how friendly her nurses and assistants were. The level of care is very good, and post OP is fantastic. Dr. Moster is a very skilled surgeon and very sough after for lectures, that's how my optometrist found out about her, and recommended her to me for glaucoma surgery. At first I was kind of caught of guard because I don't normally have Doctors who have such great bed side manner, are friendly and engaged with their patients. I am a 51 year old man who has been battling glaucoma since early 20's. I have already suffered significant vision loss and have continuously searched for options to limit future loss. After a trabeculectomy 4 years ago caused immediate incremental loss of vision followed by closure which mitigated effectiveness of pressure control, I was "done" with procedures for fear of acceleration of the very loss of vision I was targeting to decelerate. Other Ophthalmologists I saw for options talked "at" me and told me what I "had to do" and were irritable when I asked "why" and "at what risk". Dr. Moster was referred to me by a trusted Ophthalmologist and my first visit was 2 years ago. The first visit outlined options but in a manner that was consultative. The second visit, almost a year later, she presented the option of canaloplasty. In the last 6 months I have had canaloplasty on both eyes, with a resulting pressure in both of 13 from 18-20. As a patient, I would recommend Dr. Moster… not only for her surgical skills and experience with up to date glaucoma treatment, but also her (and her team) for creating an open, honest dialogue on options. I do think it is worthwhile to point out that in the many visits I drive to Philly to see her, every time she was educating, training, and explaining to residents and staff members. On a personal level I take this as a sign of not only her passion for â??getting it rightâ?? but in the investment to teach and train others. The downside of this is a more chaotic office environment, frequent interiptions, and long waits, not optimal but to me I get the balance between this and seeing fewer patients and doing less training. We will see if the canaloplasty is short or long term, but I would recommend Dr. Moster and her team for top quality glaucoma care and treatment.

Dr Moster cares a great deal for her patients - she spends much time to the nand listens to them. Her appointments run late but people understand her caring way. Her staff is excellant. I have never had a better experience. Her surgery practice was great - I feared the surgury but she made me comfortable.
