Matthew L Ramsey

Just saw Dr. Matt Ramsey again this week February 2025. Have been working with him since 2008, 17 years ago, when I had a highly unusual reaction to an arthrogram ordered by another doctor. Blood tests showed massive inflammation, he had me admitted to the ER that evening, and actually canceled his speech at a conference the next day to operate on my shoulder. Since then we've had 4 other surgeries together, including very successful reverse arthroplasty on one shoulder two years ago. Matt Is both personally and professionally the best orthopedic surgeon you'll ever meet. Couldn't recommend more highly.

I’d recommend Rothman and Dr Ramsey for shoulder surgery to anyone. Rothman is efficient and thorough and Dr Ramsey, besides being a top notch surgeon, has a great personality and bedside manner. He takes his time with you and treats you like an individual person, not just another number in his resume. He and his team (Deborah and Tom) are just great! My rotator cuff surgery was done perfectly and though full gain of function is taking way longer than I would like (I was warned about this), I would not hesitate to get this surgery again. At least the pain is gone and I believe keeping up with rehab will get me back to normal by the year they say it can take. And believe them when they tell you it can take that long. There are no miracles or shortcuts with rotator cuff surgery.

Dr. Matthew Ramsey corrected a botched left elbow surgery from another doctor. I had fallen and a chunk off the end came off. I had very limited rotation, extention an flexibility. I am so pleased with his expertise and skill. I felt I was going to be limited for the rest of my life. I'm 59 and was expecting my first grandchild. I was afraid I could not pick her up. He exuded confidence and put my fears to rest at our first meeting. Most importantly, he delivered! His talents and the work with Premier Physical Therapy, have me back to a regular life. I am playing basketball, coaching baseball and looking forward to golf this spring. Dr. Ramsey is also very personable and he listens. God bless him and thank you Rothman!

Great Dr. Not in a hurry to do surgery until you are ready. Listens to you. Respects you. Excellent surgeon. He has operates on me several times and replaced my right shoulder.
