Dr. Matthew Gerard Scuderi, MD

Dr. Scuderi is a great doctor. He is very knowledgeable and a very good surgeon. He performed a knee surgery on me and the results were amazing. He prefers the least invasive treatments but presented me with my options and what to expect. He’s not the best people person though and you may need to be persistent at times when communicating with him, but he knows his stuff.

Dr. Scuderi spoke directly to me (I am 15 years old) and explained everything so that I understood what was going to happen with my surgery.

On paper, he has credentials. I treated for a minor issue, which went fine. Then I told friends about him, and all three complained; "he's not a people person", "Once surgery wasdone, he lost interest", "I'll never go back to him", they seemed genuine.

Dr. Scuderi is by far one of the worst doctors I have ever encountered. After a 2 minute evaluation he presumed he knew everything about me and my problems, or, to his viewpoint, the lack thereof. Unless you have a compound fracture, Dr. Scuderi is a waste of time. He does not seem to want to investigate or take the time to diagnose difficult cases even with a documented history of problems. He entered the room without an introduction and was condescending and apathetic to my concerns and questions. He clearly lacks pride of work as he shows no real concern for the patient. To the reviews that marked him highly, I can only assume that they were overtaken by their strange viewpoint that Dr. Scuderi is handsome. Average at best, but irrelevant to reviews. Terrible doctor, avoid at all costs unless it is something simple like a break.

He is a great doctor. He arranged for my daughter to get an MRI even though it wasn't scheduled because he wanted to save us a trip since its a two hour drive. He was very nice, compassionate and very careful with my daughters injury.

Dr. Scuderi is a great doctor. Very caring and knowledgeable. He takes his time with you and he knows his stuff. He will talk to you about anything and always welcomes questions. He makes it very clear that you can come see him anytime you need to. He is very friendly and is a great surgeon. He really cares about his patients. I highly recommend him.

This was the worst doctor I've EVER seen. I went in with hip problems and I left with nothing. I was diagnosed with RA 13 years ago and he told me I was lying about it. He told me my hip pain that I've been having for a month and cannot walk and was hospitalized for it said it was no big deal and I was faking. His nurses were also ruder than ever. Would recommend ANYONE over this lunatic.

I am impressed with this Dr. He is relatively young, based on appearance but he is a confident, skilled surgeon. He is honest and always looks to the least invasive options first. I have NEVER had the negative experiences mentioned by another patient in a preceding post. The only thing I agree with her about is....he's extremely good-looking. That has nothing to do with his competency as a surgeon, though. It's kind of a bonus...

Dr. Scuderi is a wwonderful suregeon! He was a 3rd opinion for me and I was very impressed with all the time he spent with me and time he took with me! I had rotator cuff surgery and I couldnt pick a better physician to have done the work! Sadly the first patients comment is pretty much voided once they bring up appearance! I couldnt be happier with his work and bed side manner and even his carring and concern for EVERY aspect of my health.
