Dr. Meenakshi Amit Pande, MD

She is wonderful!

Words cannot describe how horrible this woman treated my boyfriend and I in her office. My boyfriend went to his appointment to discuss some things before having thyroid surgery. Instead of providing answers. She actually said to him to stop lying about having questions and just admit that he is scared. She would not listen to any of his concerns. She spoke to us very rudely and callously. When we asked her why she was talking to us so rudely, she replied something to the effect of, "that's just how I am, what are you going to do about it. She even told him to go find another endocrinologist" and walked out on him. Knowing that he is in need of surgery, she just got up and left and did not provide him with any guidance or direction. She was unapologetically belligerent, uncouth, and an absolute witch with a b. She behaved so badly that we were in absolute shock. Never in my wildest dreams have I ever imagined that a doctor would conduct herself this way. She was EXTREMELY… condescending and nasty!

I got to see Pande's PA Powell she didn't listen to a thing I had to say. I went there for PCOS well she gave stuff about being a diabetic, I AM NOT A DIABETIC! I advised that after working out (hard) my skin gets darker, my facial hair get worse it grows coarser at a much faster rate, and my stomach gets really bloated. I just feel plain horrible! It takes a little over a week for me to get back to normal. I read up on it and the testosterone increases making my PCOS condition worse. Powell said testosterone does not increase after exercise and she had no clue why that was going on with me. I saw Pande once before and I like her I got her PA and didn't even ask for her. I thought they ask first if someone wants to see the PA . Well I didn't want to see her. I will not be going back I am better off doing my own research and figuring it out on my own!

Dr. Pande sits down and talks to me, not at me. She asks questions and then listens to the answers, and has been great when I've been there. Unfortunately, dealing with everyone else is difficult. When you call the office, trying to talk to a live person is impossible. They do not return calls when requested (some of us work), and are not prompt when calling with results from tests.

She is good as long as you're in her office. If you need her outside of the office, you may as well hang it up. Blood sugar was above 700 and was in the ER. She was paged 4 times and never responded to the ER doctor. She was good until I needed her.
