Dr. Melinda Jane Garcia Rosell, MD

My wife was referred to Dr Melinda Garcia and it took a few months to get appointment to see her. I had to take time off from work to carry her to see her. We drove around the parking area trying to figure out where to park and when finally parked had the same issue finding her office. We finally found an employee that directed us to her office. When my wife checked in she was 10 minutes late and they rescheduled for 2 months later. I asked the staff if she could be worked in and they said no. These people are so arrogant and more concerned about their business than the patients health. It wasn’t to much to ask to wait to be worked in. I would not recommend this doctor at all

After waiting 10 months for my new patient appointment, Dr. Garcia-Rosell did not take my ailments seriously. She gave off the impression that she did not believe me despite having had a positive ANA test and proof from 3 other specialists of digestive, heart, and lung issues. Even after the bloodwork she ordered came back showing inflammation markers, her nurse advised that Dr. Garcia-Rosell didn’t “think” that I had lupus and that if I continued to have issues to follow-up with my PCP and not with her. I suppose she felt I had wasted her time, when in fact, she had wasted mine. I was so distraught and discouraged after that experience that I didn’t schedule an appointment with a different rheumatologist for over a year, during which time my condition worsened and caused irreparable physical damage. I have since been diagnosed not only with lupus but also with ankylosing spondylitis. Had she not been so ignorant, arrogant, and incompetent, I might have gotten treatment much earlier… and not ended up in such a severe state.

Dr Garcia-Rosell is very intelligent, empathetic, and is quite interested in the overall health of her patients. I appreciate her seeing me as a whole person and not just the disease. Wait times are minimal, yet I have never felt "rushed out" after seeing her. Staff is also very friendly.
