Dr. Mercely Rani Devabavus, MD

I have been with Dr M.R Devabavus for 20 yrs at least. She is one of the best primary MD internist I could have found when spending primary time in Spring Hill. She diagnosed finding with me before even seeing the specialist she sent me to . Heart related. Yes sometimes during visits you might have to wait but others on time, but the attention you get, talking 1 on 1 ,explaining regulating meds or changing best for patient is very patient until the correct one is found , can call, calls back, spends adequate time when needed, I was so lucky to have found her. Completely satisfied and lets you give your opinions as well.

Brilliant Doctor well worth seeing. I have had Dr. Devabavus as my main MD for over 20 years. Sometimes you may have to wait to see a doctor because an emergency patient has to be seen. My hubby is a retired Navy Doctor with 30 years service to our country so I can relate when a doctor is running behind.

Highly intelligent with fantastic listening skills.

I would highly recommend searching for a different Doctor if you are thinking about perhaps utilizing this one. My experience is not only my singular opinion however, 3 patrons in the same day. I went to go in for just a blood pressure check due to dizziness. The receptionist brought 3 of us who were all waiting in the waiting room, to the back into individual rooms where the Dr. comes in to see you, well, after sitting there for 45 minutes listening to this Dr. chat on "speaker-phone" right out in the open, about her BMW car that must have needed repairs or was having issues with, and, hearing the other two patrons in their separate rooms (doors to each room was left open)complaining because this Dr. was conducting personal business while the 3 of us sat there for almost an hour!! How inconsiderate and ignorant to do without even coming in OR having her assistant or SOMEBODY come in to apologize. NOPE, just let us sit there. I got up, went back to the from desk and got my co-pay back.

Wait time has always been over 1 hr. And last week over 2 hrs, as she ran home to let the AC man in. My visits consistently last only 3-5 minutes. Yesterday about 1 min. No blood pressure or temperature check, ever. She's charging my ins co for full office visits. Dr seemed annoyed at me yesterday that I was there for the 3rd time for the same reason and just said "Go see a specialist" and walked out. In my patient portal she has 3 different diagnoses for me that I've never even heard of. On a recent visit, my sister went iwith me due to the seriousness of my visit. Her comment after was "Get another doctor ". I feel I'm getting shortchanged and overcharged.

Only cares about making money. The DR triple books appointment times and schedules appointments every 2 months. I would no recommend.

Dr devabose is a great caring dr, I've been a patient of hers a long tome,and I'm very happy with her, she really cares for her patients, And her secretary Cynthia is also very caring, and does a great job. When I need something, Cynthia gets back to me asap.you don't get that from many offices! I'm very happy with the staff and the dr.

She's all about money. I went with pain on my left arm and neck and because I owe $40 of a past visit she didn't want to see me. That day I paid and left without seeing her. It was embarrassing. She makes me come around to the front desk make me call my insurance so I can ask why 2 of my visit the insurance didn't pay her . I was so much in pain. After she got an answer from the insurance . She told me you owe me 40 . I said ok i will paid on my next visit i just paid 20 I don't have no more money on mi. She told well see what can you do before I see you. I just look at her..wow I'm here with this pain I just grab my stuff and left. Her secretary even fell so bad. No way I will recommend her.

Dr. Talks right over the top of patient, she does not want to hear you talk @ all. She told me that no specialist would take my insurance. Trying to get a referral for a the specialist that i needed was like pulling teeth. Specialist ordered MRI & XRAY. This Dr said it would take a long time for approval from insurance. I talked to my insurance & they said i dont even need approval. Dr was very rude & tries to block your treatment options. Comes into office in flip flops & texting during your visit. If you need help besides her checking your blood keep searching!

Dr. Mercely and her staff are wonderful . Cynthia at the desk is cheerful with a nice personality . I have been going to Dr. Mercely for 10 years , she is very professional , intelligent , has a warm way about her . She is always right on the money with any of my diagnosis . Sometimes Dr. Mercely runs behind , the waiting time might not always be the greatest , However , she is worth waiting for . Many Doctors run behind . I trust my health in Dr. Mercely's hands . Thank you Dr. Mercely and the girls that help to run the office .
