Dr. Michael Emillo Bertocchi, MD

I developed a major hernia (for the second time) that resulted from my four prior abdominal surgeries. Dr. Bertocchi did a very difficult complete hernia reconstruction and mesh reinforcement hemispherically from my sternum to my pelvic area and I have not had a problem since. He got me in quickly for surgery, checked me often while I was in the hospital, and in my many follow up visits to check the wound, remove the drains, and check general progress it was always him I met with, not at PA or nurse. It's impossible to give Dr. Bertocchi high enough marks, and I could not give a more resounding and heart-felt recommendation to anyone considering him for surgery.

Canceled surgery twice, the 2nd time without notice. Communication is poor. Tried to get post op questions answered and was basically ignored. Had to call three times to get a response. Competent surgeon but lousy at working with patients, he just doesn't seem to care.

Dr. Bertocchi performed my gallbladder surgery, and also reviewed information on bilateral hernias that I currently have. He was very personable and pleasant, did a great job (in my opinion) for my gallbladder and also offered several options for the hernias. Highly recommended!
