Dr. Michael Anthony Blain, DO

Does not listen! Very disappointed in the "care," i received. Hate that my monies were spent for his "care."

Very combative dr he thinks he knows it all so don’t think you can get your point across because he gets last word no compassion if your looking for any he is not the dr and his aides are just as rude writes prescriptions wrong they do not return phone calls back to patients or pharmacy And if doesn’t like your tone or aggravation with you he will bring in a social worker I’m a very ill who needs this

I believe Michael Blaine is a narcisstric individual with sadistic tendencies. He loves the element of control and imposes his will over the best interest of his patients. He is arrogant, smug, and rude. He likes to spend about 5 minutes with you and if you are still talking, he will just walk out of the room and into the next patient's. He put me on suboxone, not for drugs, but for a pain condition. Suboxone is not approved as a pain drug. In fact, another Doctor told me what he did to me was in fact, illegal. . I would advise no one to trust him for suboxone. He will put you on it and rip you off around 6 mos. as I have heard from another Doctor's office. His nickname is "mental Blain". He lashed out at me one day and stopped the suboxone because he was mad. He uses suboxone as a weapon and hopes you come crying back to him so he gets the sick satisfaction of seeing you in pain. I think people should know what kind of doctor he is and a poor excuse for a human being. I would… appreciate if others would pray for this man to lose his license, especially for suboxone

Dr. Blain offered to see me during the tipping point of my addiction and for that I am truly grateful and appreciate his practice and staff for doing so. With that said, he was a normal doctor with his mannerisms and all but him and I disagreed greatly on what was best and right for my recovery process. He didn't listen to my worries or thoughts and seemed to just be ready to push me out and bring another one in. He was able to discuss things with me and answer general questions but when it came to Suboxone and the length and dosage we disagreed and I think that didn't help make me one of his least favorite patients. I ended up finding a truly AMAZING doctor that's closer to me in Carbondale. Dr. Blain was the only doctor at the time willing and able to help me and for that I thank him and his staff. I just wish we could've discussed more about what was going on with me and possibilities of treating me different than he originally thought.

Blain was a doctor that provided help to those looking to help themselves for the right reasons unfortunately most who committed negative probably didn't want to be clean for themselves but because they was forced by court or wanted a buzz. He knew his practice was knowledgable about treatment liked statistics though told me no one he has ever treated has quit 8mg daily @7mo and abused for 8yrs prior and not relapse in days. I cancelled my last appointment and threw out all my meds almost a year ago still clean and sober wish i could see him today so the next person who is setting in front of him truly there for themselves and determined he can tell them what i said to him. I can and will because i want to....Thanks blain the doctor who at 1st said he couldn't help me cause i couldn't do it and in the end done what very few have tried and fewer who did. Thanks for giving me a second chance i will honestly never forget you sir.

I was a patient for substance abuse. I never abuse any medication as his patient and done everything required. Inpatient/outpatient treatment, counseling, drug testing ECT. He said he didn't feel like I was committed to the program. After getting tired of the problems I've had with him, I dicided to leave his treatment and go to a new doctor and i haven't had any problems at all with my new doctor.

He was very rude and argumentative. No bedside manner or compassion whatsoever. One visit was enough for me.

Phenominal Doctor - He is one of a kind. Follows up himself with patient results. That kind of Doc. Came from Chicago, Northwestern. Best rated hospital in Illinois. Dr. Blain puts them to shame.

This guy is the true definition of a quack, 1 visit to this very slow person and he evaluated me as a drug abuser. How can this guy that appeared high himself say anything wrong about a person on the first visit?

This is a doctor who truely cares for his patients and who has helped me turn my life around dont know what i would have done if i had not gound this doctor.He takes time to help u and explain things !
