Dr. Misha Nicholas Kucherov, MD

If there is a worse Doctor, I have yet to meet them. There is no way to contact the office at all. Calls from the pharmacies, other Physicians and Patients all go ignored and never responded to. The most egregious lack of compassion or professionalism from a Physician or Medical Organization I have experienced in my 90 years on this planet. I highly recommend that you find a more professional and compassionate Doctor who actually cares about his patients and can be easily contacted, or at least reasonably, because this is not the one. RUN!!!!

A week prior, I dropped off my file so he could review. They lost my file, eventually locating it. Kucherov never reviewed anything. He yelled at me and said he couldn't help me if I didn't want pain meds. I said I was not trying to mask my problem but to figure out why I was having an issue. I took my file off of his desk and walked out. I filed a report to complain but the office manager did not care. Do yourself a favor and do not go to this maniac. His license needs to be revoked.

I was a patient of Dr. Kucherov years ago and now I’m back. I returned because he was very thorough and clear in explaining what was wrong. I’m pleased to have him as a doctor again.

Never reads the charts does not call back or give enough medication to last you until the next visit, also hard to get anyone on the phone to get refills. he increased medication and said that should be fine. I was not even on the medication he tried to increased.

I had to wait to see Dr. Kucherov at least 45 minutes each of the 3 visits I had with him. The first visit I was impressed with his caring bedside manor. We agreed that I would have an MRI to follow up on one I had had 10 years previously in another location which had shown some potential issues. When I went back for my 2nd appointment, he said everything was fine. I said, what about the issues from the 10 year old MRI? First, he didn't remember anything about my situation, and told me I would need to give the old results to the lab for them to do the comparison. Then he mentioned that the software had malfunctioned on part of the MRI he ordered, and suggested re-doing it at no extra charge. I went back to the lab, to rescan the part that was faulty, gave them my MRI results from 10 years prior, and went for my 3rd appointment with Dr. K. Again, he told me everything was fine. I asked about the comparison. He said there wasn't one, and that the Vassar lab was not obligated to… compare my results because they were done by 2 different labs. He said I needed to ask them to do it as a courtesy. We went around and around about this. I found it hard to believe what he was saying, and left extremely disappointed and feeling like I had wasted a lot of time and money for nothing other than a prescription based on no diagnosis. I later called to ask about something, and while looking at my chart, the receptionist read aloud something that indicated the comparison between MRIs HAD been done by the lab. When I asked her to read me more, she refused, saying that I had to ask the Dr. Again, he told me a comparison was not done. I went back to the lab. to pick up my 10 year old records that they had falsely promised to sent back to me weeks before, and asked them whether it is only a courtesy to so the comparison. He said, no, of course not, and, in fact they HAD done it, and he gave me a copy of the results.

I had seen Dr. Kucherov several times and he was OK, but the last time I saw him he was terrible. From his questions it was obvious he hadn't looked at my chart and didn't know who I was. He prescribed a medication which had dangerous contraindications for me. I called the office the next day to talk about my concerns and the office manager said she would give him a message to call me, but he never returned my call. Instead, about ten days later he sent a registered letter telling me he was dropping me as a patient. This was the worst experience I have ever had with a doctor. There's no excuse for such behavior by a medical professional.

Met with doctor for a nerve issue in hand. Had me do an electrical test and at second visit did not have the results and actually asked if I had the test. Then a PA came in and suggested after looking at the results that I "not use my left hand for several months to see if the problem got better. I asked to speak with Dr Kucherov as this was the most absurd remedy I had ever heard. He came in and ordered a brain mri to rule out MS or ALS. Once I got those results I let him know I would never go to him again. He is too busy in other endevours to be a physician.

I had neurological problems that I did not understand. Dr. Kucherov was very patient, detailed oriented and took the time to explain what was happening. I never had to wait when seeing him.

Last year Dr. Kucherov, literally saved my life! He's a doctor who "takes in the whole picture". At one of my follow-up neurological appointments (just two days after being discharged by an orthopedic surgeon who had operated on my knee (two unrelated problems)), Dr. Kucherov was checking my reflexes and noticed that my ankle was swollen, and he asked if I had realized that my knee and calf were hot to the touch. I said that my leg had been uncomfortable, but since I had told my orthopedic doctor that I was still experiencing pain and that doctor made me feel like it was insignificant, I wasn't too concerned. However, Dr. Kucherov said that he would feel better if I got checked to rule out a blood clot (Deep Vein Thrombosis) so he sent me directly to a radiologist for a Doppler Ultrasound - the radiologist would not let me leave the office until she spoke with Dr. Kucherov because I did indeed have a DVT! I'm so thankful that I happened to have an appointment with Dr. Kucherov… that day!! His staff even called to check on my the following week.

In my opinion ran too many tests .Also, did not give me a diagnosis. I would not recommend him to a friend
