Great surgical skill but next to no empathy and very dismissive Something is wrong with him

My experience was relatively short but in that time McNevan made medical decisions without me and wouldn't ever talk to me or return calls. He refused to remove a stitch that was causing more harm than good but informed me through his assistant that the stitch was "permanent" until I had reconstructive surgery that I had previously told him I wasn't doing. After the procedure where he put the stitch in, he never met me at discharge to talk about how things happened or what he had seen. After talking to others, I had been told that his terrible bed-side manners weren't anything new. I really should have read other reviews about this guy as the negative ones are too accurate.

We appreciate Dr McNevin and his whole office staff. We have had an excellent experience. We even saw a sense of humor with time spent with doctor which in a stressful time means a lot.

Dr McNevin is a very professional competent surgeon who I would recommend to my family and close friends . He and his staff are caring and give excellent care. I have never been to such a well run office in my life. They could give lessons to other officers on there whole program from start to finish of Patient care. I never felt like a number or just another patient .

Great reslts

My surgery was great. The procedure was performed so perfectly that I didn't have to use aNY medication afterwards. I drank lots of water ate soft foods, no meat or dairy, and only had minor irritation for one day. After getting a good night's sleep I was able to be normal. I could still feel that stitches but didn't need any pain meds. The day of the surgery I only took aleve three times. McNevin definitely is a specialist. Columbus surgery center should be classified as the number one rating.

Worst Dr./Patient bedside manner EVER!! ..and I've been to a fair amount over the years! Was quite appalled actually. Treated me as if I was an idiot when I asked a question. His assistant even apologized for him and graciously answered the question he heard me as the "good" Dr,

Really successful surgery with shorter healing times than expected. Dr. McNevin is a really good surgeon and treated me with the utmost respect on every visit. Glad to know he does really good things for a lot of people.

Dr. McNevin is great. He has done two of my anal surgeries.

Shane is an excellent surgeon. He won't spend a lot of time hand holding or making small talk. Fine with me. I chose him to b e my surgeon, not my beer buddy. The guy is very talented and a pro's pro.
