Dr. Michael Carl Schweitz, MD

He was, by far, one of the worst doctors I've ever seen. He treated me with cold condescension, barely looked at the paperwork I'd spent so long filling out (if at all), seemed annoyed that I had a lot of symptoms. I was treated very poorly at this office, and it was a complete waste of time. I was later diagnosed with an autoimmune disease by a competent doctor who practices elsewhere.

RUDE, UNKIND, NON CARING, Should not be working with patients. A family member of mine, waited a few months for this appointment, drove over an hour to get there, has major symptoms, really needs a doctor, is on medicare and when the patient suggested certain tests to help figure out what is wrong...Dr. Schweits told them to "GET DRESSED AND GET OUT" really!!! He should not be allowed to work with patients. It is a privilege to have the gift to help people and when your ego gets in the way it is time for you to get a NEW JOB!

This was the worst doctor I have ever visited. He initially didn't even look at my paperwork (which was extensive, and took a while to fill out) - he instead looked at me blankly, and asked why I was there. I proceeded to tell him my symptoms (time would have been saved if he had initially look at the paperwork). He grew impatient, and interrupted me once or twice. I had a lot of symptoms; it takes time to go through the list. When I asked him a question, he blew up at me; became very hostile. Incredibly unprofessional. He didn't seem at all interested in finding out what was wrong with me. He did not order additional blood work, etc. Simply said that he didn't know what was wrong. The visit was largely a waste of time, and left me feeling bad because he treated me so poorly.

I was referred to him for fibromyalgia. He was thorough enough with the testing and diagnosis, however, due to my lack of being able to use the medication he prescribed he told me he couldn't help me. If only pushing the latest drugs to your patients is your answer for everything then perhaps you should retire. I was left with no answer or other remedies. He was also very rude about telling me. No bedside manors at all! Now, I have been diagnosed with lupus as well as fibromyalgia. Thanks for helping me seek out a real doctor who actually cares.

Had been to him previously and was satisfied. After this last time, never again. After seeing me briefly in the exam room, he gave instructions to his assistant and left the room. His assistant was through in no more than 3 minutes. I was left waiting for well over an hour and it would have been longer if I hadn't gone to the desk to leave. He saw other patients (plural) during this time and what bothered me most was I could hear him in the distance carrying on a long personal phone conversation. He needed less than 5 minutes to complete my visit. Front desk was rude when I said I was checking out saying the wait is normal. A wait I can understand but not a long phone conversation.

Not for litetate clients that want to ask questions and require the Doctor to monitor prescribed meds. Personable, but demeaning and arrogant.

Dr Schweitz is the best physician I have ever been too. He also has the most caring staff.

I went to this Doctor approximately 4 years ago for severe swelling and pain in my hands. At that time, I had three severe herniated discs in my cervical spine which I was being treated for by several other specialists. The first thing this Doctor did was twist my head to the left and then the right (fast and very aggressive). I screamed, told him I can't move my neck to that extent, and told him I was there for pain in my hands. He left my exam room and didn't come back for almost 1 and 1/2 hours. It was beyond disbelief. I was shocked and didn't know what to do. He finally came back in to the exam room (no explanation as to why he was gone for almost 90 minutes), stated that I had carpal tunnel syndrome, wrote a script for two hand braces and sent me on my way. Fast forward, I went to another "specialist", who immediately recognized what I had. He x-rayed my hands, ordered a series of blood tests, and requested that me and my husband come back in a few days to come up with… an aggressive course of action. I was diagnosed and confirmed to have Rheumetoid Arthritis, and not carpal tunnel syndrome. Dr. Schweitz should be ashamed of himself, and should probably find a profession in which he is better equipped to handle.
