Dr. Michael R Sood, MD

Dr. Sood is a caring, compassionate doctor, with a wonderful way of communicating with patients. He listens. He asks the right questions. He remembers personal information. He is not quick to prescribe a pill to fix things ... he wants to be sure it's necessary first. Dr. Sood appreciates questions and wants his patients to be informed. I never felt a "15 minute clock" ticking, even after seeing him 3 - 4 times annually for a couple of years. He is engaged and engaging. Can't recommend him highly enough. (I am writing this review on several websites.)

Meeting doctor Sood was the most significant event in my life, because after meeting him, a problem that I had had for more than 6 years was finally resolved. When I met Dr. Sood, I told him about my problems of feeling tired after light exertions and heavy breathing after climbing a flight of stairs. I do go to the gym and workout, but it became harder and harder to maintain my performance. The same information I shared with my previous cardiologist, who shrugged and said, “just don't work so hard and keep taking your medications”. This didn’t sit well with me. And when I told my wife and trainer, they both said, “Change your Cardiologist”. So, after I told Dr. Sood what I went through and after he reviewed my Medical Data he ordered an MRI of my heart, something I hadn’t heard done before ever! Well, the MRI resulted in my getting a stent put in my heart and two other blockages removed. I was flawed because I did not realize how bad my situation was. Anyway Dr. Sood, is a… remarkable doctor, a very humble man and a person that you should take seriously because he knows what he's talking about. I plan to keep in contact with him because of what he's done for me, and he's done it so humbly without fanfare. if you need a quality cardiologist look this man up! you will not be sorry. Dr Sood is a great ,caring, doctor. As a professional gives time and full attention to understand the patient both in his office and south Nassau communities hospital.Hes extremely knowledgable.By far one of the best doctor I have ever seen. Hes a God gifted diagnostician. I cannot thank him enough.

Whoever is treated by this MD is lucky. He has an amazing presence and is so patient and well spoken. You can tell who really cares when they walk into the room. I am sorry my family had illness but am glad I was connected with this wonderful all around person and he guided not only my father's cardiac care but helped other doctors on the case have better insight and guided direction.

My husband, a long term cardiac patient, had water overload and was taken by ambulance to South Nassau Hospital because he had difficulty breathing. This is not the regular hospital we use, so you can imagine how concerned I was. Dr. Sood was assigned to my husband's case and immediately took control of the situation with a clear understanding of what needed to be done and handled our case in a calm, professional, confidence building manner that allowed us to function. He listened to what we had to say, retrieved information, through testing and collaborative inquiry's resulting in a most positive experience. It is this kind of medicine that needs to be shared.

I am beyond impressed with my experience with Dr.Michael Sood. He has been my physician for several months now and with his knowledge he is providing me with the best care and advice for a variety of issues. He is very kind, helpful and considerate during every office visit. This is totally a new experience for me with his good humor and patience, it is so evident that he loves what he does. His staff is wonderful and helpful as well. I am truly grateful and lucky to have found him.

He saw me in the hospital. Yet to see him in the office. Best bedside manner I have ever seen. Made me feel safe that I could trust his level of attention to detail.

One of the best dam doctors I've ever seen. They can't teach bedside manner so good and he is so thorough and legit. He's a heart doc but I see him and he helps me with so many other problems as well. He's treats me like I'm his family. He's soothing on the eyes as well!

Absolutely incredible doctor and is consistent. He is very attentive, empathetic and spends time with you. He actually listens to what you have to say and treated my mother like she was his own.
