Dr. Michael William Smith, MD

Dr Smith downplayed my diagnosis, and essentially stated that there was nothing he could do to help me, and said I could just continue being treated by my PCP. I'm almost positive that he just didn't want me as a patient because his office did not accept my insurance and I had to pay out of pocket. He hurried me back out that door pretty fast, and then took WEEKS to even call me with my lab results. It was obvious he just didn't want me as a patient.

Can’t manage to diagnose a patient who already has a diagnosis.

Dr. Smith takes time to listen and explain treatment options. He is very intelligent and also encouraging and kindhearted! He is proactive and responsive to any challenges that arise, and doesn't hesitate to order tests or xrays when warranted. I've seen him for several years now, and my disease is managed well. I'm so thankful to have him as my doctor and I highly recommend him!

So happy I found Dr. Smith! Very nice, knowledgeable and worth the 40 minute drive for me. I've had Lupus for 20 years and better thsn my doctors in California by far!

I read all the reviews for Dr. Smith before writing this one. I was surprised to see negative comments given my experience. It was clear to me, given my experience in treating individuals with substance abuse, that these negative comments come from angry individuals who wanted drugs and didn’t get them. Dr. Smith is a very knowledgeable, kind and compassionate doctor who truly cares about his patients and their proper care. He is ethical and not a pill pusher. Dr. Smith saved my life as I knew it. My primary care physician misdiagnosed me and I was living in horrific pain every day. Dr Smith knew immediately what was wrong, ordered appropriate tests to confirm his diagnosis, and treated me. I am now pain free and living a normal life. If you want a doctor who is excellent in his field, will treat you with care and compassion, and will get you the treatment you need then I totally recommend Dr. Smith.

I had serious and worsening symptoms. Dr. Smith gave up his lunch break to create time to see me. Unlike others I have seen this doctor took time to carefully listen to my narrative as well as ordering the appropriate tests for a correct diagnosis . Easy to talk to and down to earth. His immediate attention limited my exposure to a very insidious affliction and I am now making a good recovery.

Dr Smith took his time to completely hear and understand everything I had gone thru just to get to see him. He did a thorough exam and explained all the possible outcomes. His nurse Demitria was excellent and she is very prompt with returning emails, calls, and explaining things so that I could understand. The lady at the front desk was friendly and explained my packet of information that needed to be completed. I was a new patient and felt very comfortable. The office was very clean and neat. Everyone had smiles on their faces which was welcoming. A very good experience and I will refer anyone who needs it to him!

I was a patient for several years. I found out he was no longer going to treat me by my appt pharmacist who called about a refill. No call no letter. Nothing. His nurse said “I can’t help you”. He left me with no treatment plan, no referrals. Nothing. He says all the right things when you first go in. He makes you think he cares. He doesn’t. Don’t fool yourself. Unprofessional as they come.

Very curtious, professional. Felt like he really listened to me. I felt somewhat relieved finally knowing what is going on with me. Had a good experience all around. Would definitely recommend him to others.

I HAVE BEEN GOING TO Dr.Smith for two years now ..I am very happy with him.I have r.a and I get my infusions at his office....Patty gives them to me and she is Awesome. HIS STAFF IS GREAT...So I am very happy.
