Dr. Mohamed Mourad Aboyoussef, MD

Dr. Aboyoussef is an excellent doctor. He is very knowledgeable and really thorough. He has helped me with my arthritis and always spends time with me. I appreciate his professional attitude and completely trust I am getting the best care. The office staff is also excellent.

This was my first visit with him. I will never go back. He was so unprofessional and unbelievably rude and ignorant. He shouldn't be practicing. He wasn’t the least bit interested in what I was trying to tell him and very condescending. I left the office in tears. Absolutely horrible!!

He is an excellent RA doctor and bone specialist! He diagnosed me after years of pain and going to other doctors. He has helped me so much. He also cured my fiance Michael Fattorosi, of severe Gout atfer years of suffering and going to to doctors that did not help him at all. I actually found Dr. Aboyoussef for my fiance at Straub Hospital Emergency room, and asked the doctor who is the best RA, and he replied all of the RA doc's are good. Then I asked if you had to refer your wife or child to ine of them which Dr. Would you go to, and he said Dr. Mohamed Aboyoussef. And we booked an appt. and went and we followed his directions and and he cured my fiance. Then I went to see him for my pain that all of the doctors i had previously seen and could not figure out what was wrong with me and he did! I was diagnosed with Ankylosing Spodylitis after 20 plus years of suffering and he has changed my life! I hope he returns to Hawaii, I want him as my doctor again!

The first time I went everyone was really nice. The doctor was very attentive and very thorough. The follow up visit I had not gotten some vitamins that he recommended. I can understand how that would change his attitude a bit. When I was done with the visit, and tried to walk out of the room when the doctor left, I was kurtly reminded to stay in the room until the nurse came. The girl outside the office is super nice. When I walked out the staff member at the desk just stared at me, unable to say good bye. Felt very weird that whole visit. So the first visit was great, the second was weird. It made me not want to go back there, or if I did to keep my guard up. The doctor's diagnosis was very good, and like I said the first time he was really nice and thorough.

I had been seeing Dr. Aboyoussef for about six months for widespread pain. He ran a lot of tests but never looked into my sleeping pattern. I had been telling him that i was tired all the time, and that i slept about 10-12hrs per night. Later when I needed a doctors note, he refused to write it. After an angry phone call he agreed to write it. The note comsisted of one sentance and didn't even have a period at the end. When I requested a copy of my files (so that i could switch doctors), my file did not have any notations about my sleep complaints. He does not listen, and does not care!

I am writing on behalf of my husband's experience the other day. Like most of the previous ratings and comments, this doctor spoke in a condescending manner and showed no intent to listen or keep my husband's needs and concerns at top priority. He was very short with words and offered no further knowledge or solutions, expected from a specialist. My husband was very upset that he not only wasted his time, taking off of work early for the appointment, but also left with the same unresolved issues.

He listens.

This doctor speaks in a very condescending manner. I left his office feeling almost embarrassed.. that I had wasted "his" time. Having arthritis in my 40's is difficult enough. Don't waste your time. Choose anyone else.

I had a horrible experience with Dr. Aboyoussef a couple days ago. I recently moved to Oahu and am looking for a new rheumatologist but Dr. Aboyoussef is not the one. He was in a hurry, and had no interest in getting to know me and much of my personal medical history at all. He was very cold and made me extremely uncomfortable. I've had rheumatoid arthritis for 13 years and he was talking down to me about it as if I knew nothing. He had that vibe that made me feel as if he were thinking I was lucky just to see him, instead of trying to help me and make me comfortable. Like a previous reviewer said, he eventually asked me what I wanted from him, which was really awkward. I responded by telling him I was in the process of finding a new doctor but by that point I had already decided he was not the doctor for me. I will not be going back to see him.
