Called to make an appointment the lady on the phone was somewhat rude and unhelpful and they had a 4 months wait for new patients. I went else where.

He is knowledgeable, caring and kind. So far, he is the best endocrinologist that I have gone too. I have Hashimoto's Disease, a severe form of hypothyroidism, and I consider my endocrinologist the most important doctor I go to. He upped my dose of Synthyroid a little bit, and I stopped gaining weight. Some reviewers have complained about the parking. Luckily, I found a good parking spot near his office, but I can see how parking may be a little bit difficult sometimes.

I was very impressed with Dr. Las. I changed insurance companies so had to find a doctor who took my plan. I was looking for someone fairly close to where I work/live, but I didn't have any recommendations. I expected the worst, but was pleasantly surprised. One thing that seemed strange when I was making the initial appointment, was that I was to bring my own records from the former doctor, not to have them faxed directly to his office. I am not sure if this is common practice among specialty doctors, but it was a bit problematic in that my former endocrinologist only sent me partial records and would not release anything more unless the doctor's staff called and asked for them. It did take me about 3 months to get an appointment, but that is the norm in this area, since there are few practicing endocrinologists in the NW area of New Jersey and an increasing amount of diabetic, thyroid, glandular issues in the population. My biggest complaint is the office location.… I was thinking the office would be closer to St. Clare's Hospital, but it is in downtown Denville. It is definitely not an area conducive to the elderly, nor to the handicapped. Luckily, I am young and able to walk. I had a difficult time finding the office with GPS because it is in an area of town where the street names change. Making it more challenging to find, is the facility is a tiny Cape Cod located between some bigger businesses. The most pressing challenge is finding parking. I had to walk about 2-3 blocks after driving around the block about 3 times. The metered municipal parking lots were full, but I was able to find a spot at the grocery store. Since there are about 3 different practices in the same Cape Cod, the practice area is too small. The waiting room is beautifully decorated, but tiny. The business office is cramped and extremely busy. The examination room is even quite small. The practice is busy enough that the doctors should invest in better real estate. I ended up waiting about an hour to see the doctor, but I believe it is because Dr. Las spends a good amount of time with each patient. He doesn't make you feel rushed. He actually completed the personal/family history form with me. We discussed medications and dosages. Dr. Las took the blood samples, himself. He seems genuinely caring and very competent. I ended up having to call the office to see if my lab work had been returned and if there were any changes needed to my medication. Luckily, everything was fine, but I feel a larger office space may have allowed better organization - and additional staffing. Overall, the best rating is for the doctor himself. I would rate him higher if he had a better office space.

Great doctor but.... he needs a new office staff. They are unprofessional, rude and uncaring.

I just called to make an appt as a first time patient - the woman on the phone was RUDE and I couldn't get in until February. They said he does not take new patients in the evenings and doesn't start until 11 am. I made an appt but will quickly be trying to find another doctor.
