This Doctor was awful. He wouldn't communicate, put the cast on too tight as the nurse commented about it. The nurse told me if starts to bother me come back and she would do it. He made a sarcastic comment that even the nurse thought was unprofessional. I held my peace but wanted to physically harm him. He made a comment under his breath "I don't ever want to see you here again" !

A wonderful doctor ! I would recommend him to anyone . I am do glad o found him. The first hand surgeon destroyed my hands bring more concerned about my personal life . I’m grateful now that I’m in good hands .

A year ago I had severe multiple breaks in my left radius and ulna. I was fortunate the ER referred me to Dr. Bartkiw. He was able to squeeze me in and we went straight there from the ER. He immediately put me at ease with his ability to understand the injury and what to do about it. His customer rapport is excellent. He was completely honest with us as to what to expect. Example: before attempting to realign the bones he told me "For the next 10 minutes you will hate me" (or something to that effect - I was on morphine at the time). When that was unsuccessful (not his fault, they couldn't do it at the ER either), he squeezed me into his already full surgery schedule the next morning, assuring me the surgery would not be complicated. He told my husband following surgery that when the block wore off there would be a "tsunami of pain". He never pulled any punches, we always knew what to expect. He got me started on therapy within days which made my recovery quicker. He even… popped in to check on me during the therapy assessment session. My experience with him continued through the year. He was always concerned about my progress, questions and concerns. He took the time to address all my concerns and never made me feel my questions were stupid or that I was bothering him. I have total trust in him and would highly recommend him.

I wish all Drs were like him. He, gentle, polite and caring. He follows up personally as a follow up after surgery. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Bartkiw operated on my broken knuckle. He did a great job. He is very professional. I would highly recommend him to anybody including my family members.

was visited by him while in the hospital.. he is very abrubt..no compassion and even swore at me. would not recommend him to anyone..

I cut my finger off in a table saw accident. He saved it, surgery was long into the night, he was great, I can move this finger now,e-r said it could not be saved.feel lucky that Dr. Bartkiw was at the hospital that night, God bless him and his staff very caring also.
