Dr. Nabil A Habash, MD

I recently had a bilateral mastectomy and 7 weeks later had breast reconstruction ( DIEP FLAP). My surgical and personal care were excellent. Dr. Habash and his medical team were superior. Everything was explained to.me in detail and I came in for office visits or was called to check on me at Keats weekly. The results of my surgeries are more than I imagined and have changed my life. Not only am I cancer free but have self esteem and a good self body image. I am so grateful for the skilled hands of Dr Habash and the superior care I received from his medical team.

Dr. Habash must be part sculptor, and part plastic surgeon, because he did my diep flap reconstruction 7 years after I had a bilateral mastectomy, and the result looks better than I did before I was diagnosed with cancer. My surgeon, Joseph Heyne, referred me to Dr. Habash and he was a great match. I honestly thought I would look like I had a couple of tangerines dropped into flesh-tone knee highs, but I look better than I did in my 20s. For the first 6 weeks, I felt like I had been autopsied and was waiting for my Sunday-go-to-meeting clothes, but I had been warned that I was high risk and chose this surgery anyway. It became a gift to me from myself. The staff is outstanding, too, and everyone kept an eye on me during my follow-up visits. I'm down to the last visit during my 3-month recovery, and I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Habash and his staff. They have taken great care of me, and if anyone is considering diep flap surgery, Dr. Habash and his associates are the ones… to choose.

When I first came to Dr. Habash, all I wanted was to get the Cancer out of my body and to do it as quickly as possible. It had already been more than a year since my diagnosis with Breast Cancer. I had undergone chemo, radiation and even a lumpectomy, but unfortunately a bi-lateral mastectomy and reconstructive surgery was going to be required. In my first meeting with Dr. Habash, it was obvious that my expectations and his expectation were completely different. He talked about his concerns with my body, in it’s current stressed condition, and how it would not make for a successful surgery or recovery. He also talked about my weight and that I was considered a High Risk. This was not what I wanted to hear. All I could think as Dr. Habash was explaining the surgery statistics on his white board, in complete detail, is "I can't do this; wait 3 months AND lose enough weight to remove the High Risk factor?” Even though I was upset and not liking what I was hearing, I realized… the more I listened the more I began to understand. He wasn't just concerned on the outcome of this one surgery, he was concerned with my entire health and well being now and in the future. Dr. Habash said that he wanted me to wait a minimum of three months so that my radiated skin could heal. During this time, he wanted me to focus on losing as much weight as I could. He and his staff would be here to help and support me. Dr. Habash gave me information and tips, suggested books to read and asked me keep a journal of what I ate each day. He even asked that I come in once a week, at no charge, to check my weight. Here was a doctor, a "plastic surgeon,”willing to invest his time and money in helping me achieve a healthier lifestyle. I thought to myself, "If he was willing to invest in me, I should be willing to do the same.” By the time my surgery came around, I had lost 50lbs and I felt amazing. My surgery and recover were a success. There are no words to express my gratitude to Dr. Habash and his staff. He is an amazing person and a very talented doctor. I highly recommend him and his staff. Thank you, Dr. Habash, for helping me get my life back!

I was referred to Dr. Habash after two other plastic surgeons told me that the procedure was way above their expertise..I was very scared and in pain (this was my sixth breast surgery because of cancer and implant ruptures) I was very impressed with the caring ,friendly staff and the way they put me at ease Dr. Habash was very thorough and explained surgery and showed me through drawings what to expect. I was amazed at his dedication to detail and very happy with the end results. His follow thru after surgery was wonderful and I truly appreciated the support he showed during my recovery. He was also great relaying information to my husband after the surgery. I would highly recommend Dr. Habash to any patient. He changed my life!

On the 1 year anniversary of my diep flap procedure I feel compelled to share my gratitude for my successful outcome and my experience with Dr. Habash and his staff. They were caring and helpful before, during and after the procedure and a year later, I feel like my same old self. Considering the magnitude of the surgery, I am delighted that I feel and look great.

I cannot begin to describe how amazing Dr. Habash is. I had a double masectomy with deip and my results were just amazing. I am about 10 months after surgery and my breast are better now then before surgery. The amazing thing about this plastic surgeons office is the tattoo artist they have. Wow he is so talented with 3d nipple tattoos. At first I was so devastated about losing my breast but Dr. Habash, Sarah and Ruth really put my mind at ease. Also the whole staff is friendly and helpful. I am just so lucky to have a team of people give me back what cancer took away. Dr. Habash is the best.

I would highly recommend Dr.Habash and his staff. I was referred to Dr. Habash in the spring of 2017. I was hesitant that I even wanted to do Diep Flap reconstruction. Dr. Habash was very professional, knowledgeable and genuinely wanted me to understand the procedure of the Diep Flap. He had a previous patient reach out to me as it was great getting information from a previous patient of his. I revisited Dr. Habash for a second time, he again, patiently and thoroughly explained on the white board, the procedure, I felt completely confident Diep Flap would be the way to go for reconstruction. The staff, from the beginning were very professional, caring and always in constant contact and easily available when needed. Never waited more than 7-10 mins at any appointment. Dr. Habash’s surgical skills are exceptional and the post op recovery has been remarkable. I experienced very little down time and now I am back to a “new normal” schedule. I have completed the Diep Flap procedure with… Dr. Habash’s tatoo artist Arnoldo. His work is absolutely amazing. I found Dr. Habash and his team through a referral service my company uses, called Compass. Compass refers to the highest quality physicians and Dr. H and his team was FIRST on their list! It was great to know that I was being sent to a specialist that only does breast reconstruction, since this is all they do, they have mastered their skills. I adore Dr. H, his PA Sarah and the rest of the staff. I have a bilateral mastectomy due to breast cancer. Dr. Habash did my reconstruction using my own tissue!!! They treated me with great compassion and genuine concern...I now call them friends. My outcome is amazing! I am so thankful I found Dr. H and highly recommend him and his team!

I never thought I would have breast cancer. I’ve tried to take care of myself through diet, exercise and a healthy diet, so at 57 I was surprised when I was diagnosed. The other unexpected component was that 3 months prior to my diagnosis I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. My husband and I poured and prayed over all of our options; our desire was to make the wisest decision. We had a deep trust in my breast oncology surgeon who counseled me toward a double mastectomy; with implants for reconstruction. Initially I thought this would be a good option; however, after researching women with RA and and the number of patient’s whose bodies rejected their implants, I became very discouraged, because I didn’t feel comfortable with implants for my situation. My breast oncology surgeon then recommended Dr. Habash. Initially she didn’t think I would be a good candidate because I didn’t have much abdomen tissue to work with…….I was on the thin side. I truly don’t know how to… thank Dr. Habash!! I was so discouraged thinking I couldn’t do reconstruction and that I wouldn’t have enough tissue to work with, but Dr. Habash was amazing. He was forthright in what I could expect, his bedside manner is exceptional, and his understanding of my situation brought my husband and I much needed assurance. He and his partners are remarkably skilled and educated in their craft of diep flap reconstruction. I am truly amazed at what he was able to achieve with my body. He is intricate and a perfectionist with his work. I am totally satisfied. My results exceeded my expectations. I am so grateful I will not have to go back in 7 years to get new implants. There is nothing foreign in my body; I live with my own tissue! While the initial surgery is involved and the healing time takes patience; I am so grateful I went this route of diep flap reconstruction. I have no regrets. Dr. Habash and his staff are competent, kind and caring! Bravo to Dr. Habash and his team!!

Dr. Habash is fantastic. He is extremely skilled, very knowledgeable, gentle and can make you feel comfortable and less stressed about the surgery. He is a perfectionist in his job and makes sure that you'll get the best results and will be satisfied with your surgery. He and his wonderful staff can be reached easily with your any questions or concerns. The outcome of my reconstruction surgery exceeded my expectations. I'm extremely happy with the results.
