Dr. Nell Maloney Patel, MD

Dr. Maloney Patel is an extremely competent doctor with excellent bedside manners. She takes the time to get to know you as a person find out about your condition, and answers any questions you may have. She is thorough in her examination and I felt very comfortable having her and her team perform by surgery a few years ago. I see her once a year for follow-up visits and and she makes me feel very comfortable. She came highly recommended by my primary care doctor and I couldn't be happier trusting her with my care. Dr. Patel's knowledge and expertise allows me to know that I am in good hands.

A routine colonoscopy revealed a malignant tumor and I was diagnosed with colon cancer. From the moment I met Dr. Maloney Patel my anxiety was relieved. She was very down to earth putting me at ease. She explained, in way that was easy to understand, exactly what my situation was…the size of the tumor, the location of the tumor, the specifics of the procedure to remove a section of my colon, what testing would be done to assess the status of the cancer and its potential spread, what my immediate recovery would entail, what my life would be like after surgery. It’s now 2 months after surgery and I can see she prepared me well and things have unfolded the way she described. In addition everyone I dealt with in her practice was kind, supportive and helpful.

Dr. Nell Maloney Patel is truly a credit to her profession. She is an expert in her field, extremely knowledgeable in colo rectal matters, discusses the best approach to take care of the problem and is kind and compassionate as well. I had robotic surgery on April 11, 2024 to take down a fistula and resection my colon. Three and a half months later, I feel very good and Dr. Patel is pleased with my progress. It took me over five years to get the right surgeon. Other doctors were missing what was obvious to her. I highly recommend her.

Hi. I have been a patient of Dr Patel since i had my inital surgery to correct a large bowel obstruction. Dr Patel did my reversal of the colostomy on November 2 ,2023. I have seen her on a regular basis since then. Not only is Dr Patel an excellent surgeon, but also very caring and compassionate! From the very start she knew how much i wanted to have my colostomy reversed. She worked very hard to get me to that point, and never gave up on my wishes! I always new she cared abou keeping me safe, and would never jeopardize my well being! I trusted her emphatically and would follow any of her instructions! After my reversal i had some complications and Dr Patel was there for me every step of the way. She got me through a difficult time, and her expertise and caring were evident! Through it all we developed a bond and Iwill forever be grateful for everything! I would trust my life with her anytime and highly recommend her! I can't thank her enough! The staff at her office were… always very nice, helpful and accomodating! My appointments with Dr Patel have made tbe difference in my health cafe and emotional well being! Thank you so much!

If I could give Dr Maloney Patel a higher rating than a 5 I would. She and her team were very thorough and professional. She performed a right hemicolectomy on March 9 without any complications. Aside from being a skillful and accomplished surgeon she was very comforting throughout the process and instilled a lot of confidence as I was absolutely terrified of the surgery. Lastly, she went above and beyond contacting her other colleagues regarding a past surgery I had. I can’t recommend her enough.

Dr. Nell Maloney Patel and her staff are compassion, caring, kind, and brilliant. I have been a patient of hers for a few years. Dr. Maloney Patel, Aliza (Nurse Practitioner), and Cathie (nurse) all listen. Dr. Maloney Patel clearly explains all procedures and options. I recently had excessive rectal bleeding and went to the ER. The ER physician, contacted her. Fortunately, she was in surgery. She sent a surgical resident to speak with me to get all the information to discuss with her. He came back down to tell me Dr. Maloney Patel would do surgery later in the day. When Dr. Maloney Patel completed all her previously scheduled surgeries, she came down to speak with me. I was so incredibly grateful to her. At 6:45 PM surgery began. I woke up in recovery at 8:15 PM. I feel she is so kind and dedicated. Having an appointment with a colorectal surgeon can be awkward. However, I always feel really comfortable. I wish I could rate this doctor way higher than 5 stars.

I was so blessed to have Dr. Patel as my doctor she got me through cancer surgery and ileostomy and back to a normal life.She is wonderful caring doctor and so kind. I will always be so grateful to her.

Dr. Patel is a compassionate listener who gave me the time I needed to explain my condition. I immediately felt comfortable discussing a very personal issue of great concern to me. After listening to me, she proposed a remedy that is giving me some relief. On my second visit she focused on the initial results and explored how I might get further relief. I am very satisfied with Dr. Maloney. The staff, from the front desk reception to the nursing assistants were also professional and supportive.

Dr. Maloney Patel is very knowledgeable and explains everything. She helped me out a lot and I feel much beter. I felt very comfortable with her and her staff. I would definitely recommend them to anyone with a problem.
