After a Tia Dr Imegwu did an endarterectomy on my carotid which had never really formed. When he was done he admitted it gave him a challenge but 15 years later no more issues. He was kind and very caring. I would go back to him without question. But hope I never have to.

My father is 75 years old his name is William Wassef , he had surgery with Dr.Obi J Imegwu at RWJ somerset hospital and now I am trying to make an appointment to follow up after his surgery but he don’t want to follow up his surgery because he don’t take my father’s insurance which is ok , but I told the office I will pay out of pocket for my father’s visits I just want the doctor to see him once or twice after the surgery he did for him but he also didn’t agree to see him , If Dr Imegwu can let me know what should I do to follow up surgery he did that will be very helpful for me and for any patient planning to have surgery with him because his office just say they don’t know .

no question was minimized. There was a slight puckering causing a vague navel look under a suture. Dr. imegeu quickly said it could be corrected easily at no cost. i replied that at 76 years old, i am not going to be exposing that part of my body. Thanks, but i'll pass.

Dr. Imegwu performed a procedure to improve the circulation in my elderly mother's legs, explaining his advice and intentions every step of the way. Not having ever been exposed to this issue, my mom and I were both extremely grateful for Dr. Imegwu's patience and willingness to make sure we understood all options before agreeing to the procedure. Two Doctor's told me that they could not remove my adhesions, Dr. Imegwu said he could. His robotic surgery enabled me to go home and recover., I was in the hospital 13 times over a 13 month time period. It has been 5 months since my last operation and I am doing great. One night at the hospital Dr. Imegwu sat down on my bed after midnight and operating and explained to me what my problem was. He correct the problem.

Dr. Imegwu performed a routine left side laparoscopic inguinal hernia repair. After the operation I experience extreme life altering groin pain. He did not offer any help or suggestions. It has been five years since the operation and I still have significant nerve pain and suffering every day.

Dr Imegwu performed colon resection robotically. The procedure was almost painless and I feel great. He explained the procedure very clearly and even drew diagrams . I would highly recommend this Doctor.

Dr. Imegwu performed a successful bypass on my mother's leg. This was after another Dr. wanted to amputate it! Dr. Imegwu performed a laparoscopic hemicolectomy on me several years ago. He took a long time explaining what would happen. He even answered my young son's questions. After the surgery he was very supportive. I went home after 2 days and had no problems. The surgery was life changing for the better thanks to Dr. Imegwu.
