Dr. Alex Kostiv, MD

Extreme degree of incompetence of staff. Disrespect for patients, turning into rudeness. Inclusion of unreasonable amounts in the invoice. Gross errors in the assignment of codes and the refusal to correct them (which cost me about $ 700). Strongly do not recommend.

HORRIBLE DOCTOR! First appointment- Left my fiance waiting for a long time before finally being called to the back. When he got into a room they left the door open. HUGE HIPPA violation (yes my fiance could hear other patients information being read out loud down the hall). When Dr. Kostiv finally got to him, he questioned everything my fiance was telling him, even though he had brought ALL previous doctor records with him and would not prescribe him medication ( all other doctor records showed medications). Asked him to return, so he did. Second appointment-Dr. Kostiv NEVER showed!!!!!!! His appointment was for 9:30am and again my fiance sat in a room with the door wide open for 30 minutes before he had to go to the front desk and ask where the doctor was. The receptionist response was that he was late and would be in later. HOW RUDE OF THE PRACTICE TO LEAVE A PATIENT WAITING WITH NO NOTICE OR TIME FRAME OF WHEN THE DOCTOR WAS GOING TO BE THERE. MY FIANCE WAS ALSO THE ONLY PATIENT… THERE! Extremely rude and had many HIPPA violations, yes the practice has been reported and hopefully never can give out other patient information again. They are the rudest and most unprofessional doctors office. DO NOT GO HERE! Unless of course you want to be questioned, not helped, you want to wast your time with rudeness and you want all of your information to be shared with other patients. What a quack!!!!!!!

Dr.Kostiv is very good doctor, he knows what he's doing. 5 stars!

I would never recommend doc.Kostiv to anyone. he is always unreachable, he send you for a test and you can wait week, and he never let you know what the test shows. He comes to patients room in nursing home, and you ask him a question, and he doesn't know what you even taking about, he always not prepared

I'm in a nursing home, the doctor waltzes in, no introduction or greeting, let me check your breathing, goes thru the motions with his stethoscope, ignores my questions, then on to the next resident. Not at my bedside more than 3 minutes. Collects his fee thru government insurance, then on his way! An awful doctor. If I could rate less than one star I would.

Dr. Kostiv managed to talk to the nurse and based on her assessment without seen a patient started proscribing drugs and procedures like x-rays over the phone. Dr. Kostiv is an absolute disgrace to the medical community. He should be ashamed to have â??MDâ?? on his medical coat. We are sorry that a hospital like Lutheran General approved attending rights to such a physician.

Dr. is average but the staff is very rude. There is never an appointment open at a reasonable date.(always 1-2 weeks out) Refused to write a note for work after they seen me in the office. I've had multiple problems with this office. Do not recommend them.

Dr. Kostiv is a great doctor does what he can and is straight to the point. Spends the time necessary and does not constantly push unnecessary meds or treatments. 5 stars!

Due to Dr.Kostiv, who suspected more serious problem and promptly invited other specialists, I got the help in my life threatening oncology disease OnTime. Even Dr. Kostiv successfully accomplished his part of cure, he followed up my further situation. Under his guidence I felt myself more secure and was looking without fear to my further treatments and surgery. God Bless Such Professional and Knowlegable Doctors!
