Dr. Pankaj Gupta, MD

After a referral for a minor issue, Dr. Gupta has completely changed my life-no exaggeration. Like all of my doctor visits before, he asked "Wow, you are only 26 and have severe sleep apnea?" Unlike every other doctor visit though, he quickly realized there were MAJOR problems. A severely deviated septum/uvula twice as long as it should be, both severely blocking airflow. During the scheduled surgery Dr. Gupta's expertise did not stop. Instead of just going in on autopilot to do a surgery I'm sure he has done hundreds of times before, he took time to diagnose an additional major issue. The only way my airway was getting adequate airflow was to be propped open. After surgery, I was referred me to UNC Dental School for maxillofacial surgery. 2 years after my first visit with Dr. Gupta-no more CPAP, no more napping, no more exhaustion, no more trying to simply get through the day to get to bed. I have more energy, sleep great, and enjoy life. Dr. Gupta changed my life, thank you!

Strangest and weirdest doctor visit I've ever had and I am an EMT licensed in NC , after a CAT scan conveniently located in office and 350.00 out of pocket spent, he told me my sinus were blocked and didn't know why , save yourself the time and money and go anywhere else and see anyone, but don't go here, they did send me home with a plastic bottle with nothing in it ( for sinus rinsing) that you can buy at food lion so that's great. Is this what doctor's have become???

I went for a complaint of chronic (months long) sinus pain. After a brief eval, i was rescheduled for imaging on another day, waited over an hour past my scheduled appointment for a scan that day, and when the results were in - with little findings unfortunately - rather than explain them over the phone they scheduled me for another appointment to come in and bill a third visit and copay. Be prepared to take multiple days from work and pay several copays to get any answers. This staff does not care about patient experience at all.

I don't understand the negative reviews. Without exception Dr. Gupta and his staff are among the most professional, experienced and knowledgeable practices I have ever visited. And I say this coming from a major US metropolitan area with excellent healthcare options He truly listens and evaluates your symptoms to come up with a course of treatment that will address the root cause of your problem. For me it is decades long chronic sinusitis. I've been misdiagnosed with sleep apnea, collapsed nasal cartilage without proper due diligence by those doctors. I went to Dr. Gupta because I knew I wasn't breathing correctly. He performed a septoplasty and sinusplasty and I have never felt better. Please read up on his credentials - he's graduated from a top 5 medical university and has experience to match. I give him my highest rating.

I would not recommend you to anyone!!!! Your lack of interest in the outcome of your surgeries as well as your patients overall well being is absolutely horrible.
