Dr. Paria Djafari, MD

Now I understand why her review is so low!! She just uses her doctor degree to make money. I just recovered from UTI and fasted for annual physical. Unfortunately I was late because my son took my car without my knowledge. "As soon as I found out, I called and explained my situation." I arrived around 20min late, she rejected seeing me and charged $100. It was my first visit to see her. She was the only available doctor, other doctors were booked. It was a disgusting mistake to make an appointment with her.

Now I understand why her review is so low!! I didn't mind because there was no availability with other doctors. She was available so I decided to visit her. Unexpectedly, she just uses her degree to make money and has no sense of human relationship building. I just recovered from a UTI and fasted for my annual physical. Knowledgeable, pleasant and great attention to detail.

Made an assumption without taking into account objective evidentiary proof in my defense - I'm a military wife w/ a perfect record & because I incorrectly remembered/guessed when I last took a medicine, she refused to prescribe refills to me. I quickly called military pharmacy to retrieve dates/times, in my defense, to prove my innocence, & she (& her office) ignored phone calls/in-person visits to clear my name - no chance defense. Didn't listen, didn't care - so offended by her - unbelievable.

Both my husband and I have seen Dr Djafari and have her to be attentive and concerned about our health. My husband asked about a new medication that has just been approved by FDA, she knew exactly what it was, how it differed from other similar meds and how it might be more beneficial for cardiac health. We were very happy to see she was staying up on new treatments.

I typically do not leave poor reviews however, this cannot go undocumented and is not the first poor experience. The scheduling office made an error in the full reason for the office visit. It was for yearly physical and it was moved forward due to additional issues that we needed testing for including B12 deficiencies, anemia, possible Lyme return. After my adult daughters physical I asked about her prescription refill and Dr. Djafari responded who usually prescribes it? I was dumbfounded as she has been the superscribing Dr for two years! My response was, you do. Second, she apparently never even looked at the records and did not address the real concerns. When I questioned her she said we would have to make another appointment. I said no we have an appointment and asked her to do the test, she said well insurance....blah blah blah. I said I don't care about insurance I care about my daughters health. She said we could go out in the waiting room and she would try to… squeeze us in. No the waiting room was full of walk in patients and we had an appointment. It was painfully clear she had not read the records and was just pushing patients through with no real concerns for my daughters health. My daughter was heading back to college 400 miles away so I stood my ground and insisted on the additional tests in case we needed follow-up treatment. As a side bar, during this conversation in the office, I started bleeding heavily due to my own recent surgery. Not one ounce of compassion or assistance! Not even a , do you need to sit down, can we call someone, what can we get you. We have been going to LSFP for over 8 years. We love the Purceville Office, but had moved to Leesburg. We will no longer be using LSFP in Leesburg as there have been too many mishaps.

I wish I could give her a big zero instead of one star. She does not listen her patients at all. Today I went there my long term cold flu symptoms. The only thing she did was trying to convince me that they were allergies or stress related low immune system. I disagreed both of these diagnosis. She did not even suggested me to see an allergist. I had to ask for it. She immune solution oriented. I highly don't recommend her. Don't waste time.

I have been seeing Dr Djafari for routine things such as medical exams and minor issues for the last 4 years . While I find Dr Djafari to be very nice and helpful with the minor things I recently have found myself to be having some sleep/anxiety issues and feel her lack of concern/follow up with me is just not there.

Dr D's bio on the Leesburg Sterling Family Practice is impressive, but her bedside manner is sorely lacking. She did not take pain issues that I had seriously. Additionally, her treatment of simple, routine medical issues is subpar. I switched doctors and found out that the thyroid blood test numbers she said were normal were actually quite off. The new physician upped my synthroid dosage, and I had no idea how lousy I had been feeling. Felt so much better!!

Dr. Djafari is a fantastic doctor. She is extremely warm, friendly and smart. She always makes time to see me, and she is very attentive. She has a great sense of humor and an excellent bedside manner. She is thorough, compassionate, and approachable. She also goes out of his way to get me appointments with specialists when I need to see one. I would recommend her to anyone
