Dr. Parley Dehlin Fillmore, MD

I had cataract surgery. Dr. Filmore was wonderful, professional, and caring, as was his staff.

I had routine cataract surgery in my right eye from Dr. Fillmore at Membres Memorial Hospital; signed consent; was assured 96.4% of procedures go well and patients see better after procedure. I experienced severe pain during procedure and was told, “Hold still I’m repressurizing your eye. I could not see for weeks after; still have difficulty seeing out of that eye: no longer responds to light or dark; my iris was torn in two during the procedure and had to be reconstructed by another doctor at a later date after very poor post-op response and follow up. After repeated post op appointments and not being told what was wrong by Fillmore associate doctors I sought help from another doctor. Fillmore finally called to check on me after his associate doctors told him I was having serious difficulties. I can not recommend Dr. Fillmore for this procedure as a result of my experience.

He took great care in making sure I was comfortable. Did a great job with my Lasek. Quick procedure. Would do it again. Friendly staff. We go there for regular eye exams also. They seem to be very busy which can cause a bit of a wait but they know what they are doing so it’s worth it to me.

Cataract surgery in both eyes result was not Dr Fillmore promoted. Poor pre and post-op information, long waits, office confusion and record keeping. It was a "cattle call" experience with poor results.

I think it is absolutely horrifying that you have to wait an hour to be seen. Spending half my day at an ophthalmologist is not how I want to spend my day. Also I doubt very seriously that they would see me if I walked in an hour late. They would charge a no show fee and reschedule me.

I made a very bad mistake picking this doctor and clinic. I had cataract surgery. My vision after surgery was worse, blurred and crescent moon still blocks my perriferral vision. He believes that it will heal in time. I go in each month for follow up visit in which he looks at my eye and says come back in a month. It's been 6 months. The clinic double charged for the surgery and now I get a large bill, for the follow up visits. This was never explained to me. Results : large debt, poor eyesight, wasted time waiting and traveling to his office. So sad!

Initial cataract surgery in my left eye was fine. For the next 6 Month I could shop, read, work on my computer without glasses. During the 6 Month follow - up my right eye got blasted with the pressure test and 9 days later, I was legally blind in my good eye. He refuses to make good! I understand from an other Doctor, that there are many COMPLAINTS and problems with patience from that office. THEY ARE OBVIOUS DOING EXPERIMENTAL-, AND/OR INTENTIONAL DAMAGE TO PATIENCE EYES TO INCREASE THEIR "BOTTOM LINE!
