My husband has advanced prostate cancer and at times the pain has become quite extreme, especially when being prepared for radiation. He is unable to stay in one position for any length of time even with pain medication. He is undergoing some radiation and has asked to be given time in between dosages to move to allow him to proceed since being in any position for any length of time is unbearable. We were told no that he is only allotted fifteen minutes before the next patient. So where does the compassion override the time or dollars? I feel the staff could be more compassion in the comfort of each individual patient!
