Dr. Patrick James Messerschmitt, MD

I went to Dr. Messerschmitt because I was referred to him by my nurse practitioner. I had this excruciating pain in my left hand pinky finger when I bump it. I had to deal with this pain for decades. Well he knew immediately what it was. He said it was a Glomangioma Tumor underneath my pinky nail. So not to go into details as of today I am no longer in pain. Thank you Dr. Messerschmitt!!

Dr. Messerschmitt performed carpal tunnel release surgery on my right hand six weeks ago. He made me feel at ease about the surgery and discussed the procedure, the healing time, and what I needed to do following the surgery. I felt no pain, just a little discomfort, following the surgery. I highly recommend Dr. Messerschmitt!

I saw Dr Messerschmitt in Fishkill NY location back in 2014. At the time I had severe chronic pain in my left and right hand because of trigger finger. He gave me the best treatment. It's now 2019, and I now live in the state of Pennsylvania. My hands are feeling much better thanks to him.

Dr. Messerschmitt very thoroughly reviewed my injury, discussed options with me, and performed surgery; he made sure the problem was resolved. Follow up appointments were scheduled and he continued to show concern for my healing. He asked about my pain level, mobility, and checked my healing. He was kind and considerate, every step of the way. I would recommend him to my loved ones if they were in need of an excellent orthopedic surgeon.

He has an overblown opinion of himself and his skills. He operated on my index finger - when outcome was less than expected, he assured me he could fix it with a 2nd operation - he made it worse and when I complained he just sort of shrugged it off and left. My finger is a useless appendage. He juat wnts to operate but is horrible on follow up.

Dr. Messerschmitt is the best! He clearly explained all the details of my injury and subsequent surgery. He was compassionate and caring, and took special care of my wrist, knowing I was a pianist. I cannot praise him enough for his excellent skills.
