Dr. Paul Joseph Braaton, MD

He is amazing. I was in a wheelchair 20 years ago and told I wouldn’t walk again. Then I was sent to DR Braaton. He did 3 procedures on my right leg and then did 2 procedures on my left leg. Within a year I went surfing in Hawaii. Then two years ago I had a severe break in my ankle. I had broken 4 bones damaged the ligaments and my tendon. I can not thank Dr. Braaton enough for those 20 years he gave me of walking. And for repairing my ankle 2 years ago. If you want a doc that is really good at what he does try Dr. Braaton. When you make an appt it may be a couple months out. But there is a reason for that is he is great at what he does.

this doctor is not worthy of being a doctor! Bad manners and when my husband went to Doctors hospital the idiot wanted to amputate his leg! Said he needed a knee replacement but husband said NO Want a second opinion! Finally transported him Sanford where the real doctor repaired his knee and will fix his shattered leg! l Recommend getting a second opinion because this guy thinks he is god and hes just a plain idiot!

We are thankful that Dr Braaton fixed my husband's foot; however, his bedside manner is horrendous. In the year we've been treating with him he's hardly spoken to us and is always late.

I had a compound fracture an emergency surgery. I had an awesome doctor in the ER and the trauma team was great. The staff in the ER was great. They also told me that Dr. Braxton had bad bedside manner. when I was transferred to the surgery department, he spent about 5 minutes describing ehat hr was going to do. My husband was with me and he didn't even acknowledge him or explain what he was going to do. While I was in the hospital he never came to check on me. His assistant came to see me once. The hospitalist was the only person I saw while was in the hospital. She showed compassion and was extremely polite. My irst follow up appointment was schedulef for 11 i was there four hours what a waist of my time, because I had another appointment that I missed. I then attend my second appointment and that was another 2 hour wait. Most of the staff is rude and inconsiderate. Due to his bad bed side manners and ignoring my husband I fine it impossible to go to any other appointments. I'm… trying to reschedule my further appointments. I would recommend Sutter Could. They treat you with respect and are always on time. No 4 hour waits. The whole practice is extremely rude and if you tell them you have another appointment their response is to bad then you'll have to reschedule. They'll even charge you for a missed appointment that was their error. My goal is to call the medical board and make them aware of Dr Braxton. Any of you who have any negative complains you should contact Medical Board and Consumers Affair and call Kitties so he csn get the word out and make consumers about the lousy service then going to receive.

Other than the wait time to see Dr Braaton I have no complaints. After two surgeries by a different Dr that were a mess, Dr Braaton fixed my Achilles Tendon and I now have no issues with my ankle at all, Just wished I had come to him in the first place.

There is a reason that he is not a primary care physician. He will not coddle you or play soft and gentle..... But, I never doubted his abilities as a surgeon. I always felt as if he knew exactly what needed to be done. He wasn't quick to jump into surgery like many surgeons are. I have to look for the scar to remember which ankle had the surgery. I am considering a consult for some knee issues and he is definetly at the top of my list!

This doctor seems very kind, experienced and knowledgeable in his field of study. I feel he made an accurate diagnosis on me. As far as bedside manner he makes me feel hurried and rushed. He was out of the room before i had a chance to ask him anything an he had operated on me 2 weeks prior. I was considered a fall risk yet i was sent home with just crutches after surgery. I had to call an ask for them to order me a wheelchair. Average time spent with me at followup was 5 minutes. His staff was kind but they don't believe in calling you to confirm appointments therefore i missed one and was too late for one.

I had a bilateral tibial plateau fracture three years ago. It was a very serious injury (9 screws plus other hardware installed). Dr. Braaton was the trauma surgeon who operated on me. He's not very talkative, and it's true that you sometimes have to wait a bit to be seen at appointments, but for me the most important consideration is the success of the surgery. I can't complain a bit about that. He did a great job. He warned me before the surgery that what he was doing would only be a temporary fix, and that I would need a total knee replacement in 12-18 months. Three years later, my knee is holding up very well. I was conscientious about exercising and following the directions of the physical therapist. Now I walk 4 miles a day most days. It's true that someday I'll need to have it replaced, but I believe Dr. Braaton did a great job, and would recommend him.

My experience with dr. Braaton and his staff has been the worst ever! Excluding TRAVIS! The staff is very rude unorganized and unprofessional. As a patient i hear the staff bickering about one another. Everytime i call for anything expect to be on hold for 30 min. Will never return or recomend!! The one star is for travis!
