Dr. Paul Harriss Johnson, MD

I saw Dr Johnson for severe back pain. After failed physical therapy and an epidural nerve block that didn’t work, he did L4 & L5 surgery. I feel so much better and I’m pain free. Dr. Johnson is honest and to the point. I appreciate the fact that he tells you like it is and shoots you straight. I personally didn’t get the vibe that he didn’t care or that he was arrogant at all. He does not sugar coat anything and I appreciate that. My surgery went smooth and he told me exactly what to expect. I highly recommend Dr Johnson if you want to help with the pain. He can fix the pain but YOU have to be willing to do exactly what he says. You can’t go to him with your feelings on your sleeve and expect to have a good experience. He is a great surgeon and he does care but he will not baby you.

Our visit with dr. Johnson was devastating at the least. He was very arrogant and seemed to make jokes about my husband possibly having cancer! I would never allow this doctor to operate on my husband

Very flirty upon entering the room , very unprofessional . He came highly recommend by one of his own NP who was sad to hear of my experience . Rushed through the visit and was holding my check out sheet in his hand the whole time . Does not won’t to hear about your pain at all , when I tried to ask direct questions about my return to work , was given very indirect answers and cut off during and on almost everything I said. Sad when his own staff has no respect for him . Don’t waste your time or money , go else where at any cost .

Despite documented issues with X-rays and MRI and telling him I was missing work from pain, he got up to leave after a very quick talk during which he was handling my checkout sheet as if he wasn’t listening but only looking for a way to get me out of the office. While I was asking a question he stood up and handed me the paper and arranged no follow up. My particular experience was a waste of time and money. I am glad he has helped some of his patients as I’ve read about here and hope he will step it up in the future for all his patients. Not ever going back.

Dr. Johnson's care before, during and after surgery was wonderful. He is very meticulous in surgery and has very good surgical outcomes. I highly recommend him!

He is the rudest physician I have ever been to in my life. I will not recommend him to anyone!

He doesn't care about your injury said if PT doesn't work than there's nothing he can do. I'm in pain and he could care less about it and he doesn't listen he thought I already had PT and was just going to drop he saying there's nothing else he can do for me. I had two other medical professionals look at me and both agreed what my injury was but he said that he can't pin point the injury so nothing he can fix. Save yourself some time and find a better medical professional he only pick his career for the money
