Dr. Peter Melvin Crane, MD

My mother was a patient of Dr. Peter Crane. She was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer at the age of 79. Her body was shutting down, i.e., her kidneys had stopped functioning, her bladder was not working properly, she was not having any bowel movements and instead of urine, there was only blood. Her torso was distended and her legs and feet were so swollen she could not et shoes on. Dr. Crane insisted that she be transported to Portneuf Hospital in Pocatello to have some tests run on her kidneys. This was NOT necessary as I previously stated, her body was shutting down. She passed away just 4 days after he transferred her, against her will and against the DNR that was on file at the hospital. We ended up paying for a return ambulance trip so that she could spend the rest of her 4 final days in a hospital close to home and family and friends. Dr. Crane was not worried about her having those comforts, I believe he just wanted to get her somewhere where he was not the responsible… doctor. I do not recommend him as a physician.
