Dr Preeti Mehta

One of the best doctor I have ever seen. Very knowledgeable and helpful.

I went to see Dr. Mehta about 2 weeks ago. I had heard good things about her. When I was called in I met with a female assistant or P A. She had a lot of questions for me and she spent over 45 minutes with me. What I did not understand and should never have agreed to is this assistant set me up for a colonoscopy, endoscopy an MRI and even a 2 week follow up visit. This was all before I even met the doctor. When the doctor finally came in to see me she spent all of 3 -5 minutes with me. I guess she received all the info she needed from the assistant. However, I really wanted to discuss my issues with her as I am the one with the problem. She just said lets get these tests done. She seemed rushed to get back to something more important. I went home and let it all sink in for awhile and then made my decision to cancel everything. The only test I completed was the stool sample test and even that I had to call the office for the results.

I would not recommend seeing this doctor. She was ok but does not warrant the raving reviews. The staff is atrocious and I never encountered anything like it. About six people in the office screwed up everything imaginable. First, I was told that Dr. was not seeing new patients. I called again and got an appt. Then someone else calls to confirm my appt. but with the WRONG (male!) Dr. Then I couldn’t be found because someone entered my birth year incorrectly! Also, I was charged a co-payment which I tried to explain I didn’t have. So, I just paid it to get out of there. I subsequently gave them additional information and noticed they did reimburse the credit card but never bothered with a courtesy call. My saga doesn’t end here. Three days later my prescription was still not called in! I called the office to tell them. I go to pick it up and the most important item was never even called in! In addition, I realized there were important things never asked nor told to do before… procedure (as compared to prior one). I thought about all these red flags and I left a message cancelling my subsequent appointments. I informed the staff person that there were too many issues with the office and the Dr. could call me back if she was interested. Well, she never called me back. You would think she would be curious as to what happened with her patient.

Dr Preeti Mehta is excellent. Caring, compassionate, thorough, knowledgeable. I am so thrilled to have found her, and am now a patient of hers and highly recommend her. I am a PACU RN, working out of a LI hospital. I searched for a competent female gastroenterologist and found exactly what I was looking for in Dr.Mehta. She took her time with me, answered all my questions and concerns. The outpatient facility in New Hyde Park is spotless, state of the art equipment, and well run.

I have been to her office; she incentivizes and encourages patients to give good reviews; Hounds you until you do and hovers over you to confirm. Even before you leave the waiting room. She loves money and it shows. Buyer beware.

What a wonderful comfortable , caring , kind visit , I felt truly like family , my first visit was Oct. 17 , 2018 , with an upset stomach , Dr Mehta listened to all my complaints and than some and adviced me the best explanation and suggestions, I agreed for myself and I am so happy I found her , I couldn’t thank her , her P.A. Staff for and excellent intro , thank you for caring . Providenza L .

I had acidity problem but now with her diet plan it's totally gone ..she is such a friendly person ..By seeing her only one can feel okay

Great bedside manners ! I know why so many patients want to see her only ! It is worth any wait because she genuinely cares about the patient ! I felt so comfortable. Please don't hesitate to go to her. She spend an hour with me just to understand my chronic issues. Awesome visit.

Very professional staff and procedure went very well. Dr. Preeti is excellent and very professional, pleasant, caring and concerning. The office operation is very organized in setting up procedures.
