As a medical student, I had the privilege of completing my Internal Medicine rotation under the guidance of Dr. Rajeev Kandala, and it was one of the most impactful learning experiences of my training. Dr. Kandala is an exceptional educator who is not only knowledgeable but also deeply committed to teaching. He consistently encouraged students to think critically, present cases thoroughly, and refine our clinical reasoning. His feedback was constructive and motivating, which helped me build both confidence and skill in managing patients. The exposure I received during this rotation was diverse and enriching, and the supportive learning environment he fostered made a lasting impression on me. I would strongly recommend doing rotations with Dr. Kandala, as I learned the most during this period of my clinical training.

It was an honor for me to be a part of Dr. Kandala's team during my rotation at JPH. This rotation gave me exactly what I was looking for: worked with EMR system and participated in physical exams under Dr. Kandala supervision, presented patients during rounds, discussed differential diagnosis, plans, treatment options. Dr. Kandala knowledge of medicine practice is outstanding, he is an exceptional preceptor and extremely professional. Despite his tremendous work load, he always takes time to conduct detailed rounds. Dr. Dupaya guided me throughout and taught on how to use efficiently the EMR system, how to order medication and other orders. I am extremely thankful for this experience and opportunity. I had an amazing opportunity to have my clinical rotation under the supervision of Dr. Kandala. He is an extraordinary mentor and doctor, always taking the extra mile for his patients to make sure they receive the best treatment possible and that all their concerns are heard. This clinical rotation is equal to PGY-1 residency program, which is excellent preparation to be extra ready for that time. Besides being a great doctor, Dr. Kandala is also a superior mentor and teacher, being a student under him taught me a lot about patient care and treatment. This rotation also polished my clinical and communication skills, I became more confident in cases presentation during rounds. Dr. Kandala goes above and beyond for his patients. His attentiveness to my well being was nothing short of amazing. He communicated and explained everything that I was not able to understand with a lot of patience. I definitely recommend to see him

Dr. Kandala is a well educated and competent physician. I came to perform an externship under his guidance for a 6 week period during these winter months, and have gotten excellent mentorship and hands on clinical experience. I truly believe i have acquired complete competency for residency, and although i still have much to learn, Dr. Kandala has imparted on me critical knowledge and experience for the future. Dr. Kandala is a very knowledgeable clinician, teacher and a mentor. I’m glad that I got the privilege to work with him in my 4 week rotation at the Jackson Park Hospital. He always guided us throughout the patient rounds and taught us about the conditions and medications of the patient. I really appreciated the effort he gives in pushing us to our limits, so we become faster, alert, and more competent in residency. I would recommend this rotation to other medical students as well.

I had the privilege of doing my rotations for 4 weeks under Dr. Kandala. During those 4 weeks Dr. Kandala expanded my medical knowledge and gave us many hands on experiences with the patient. In the clinic, he used to let us individually interact with patients and used to take our diagnosis under consideration. Dr. Kandala is such an excellent teacher and mentor. Dr. Kandala was an amazing preceptor to learn under for my four months spent with him in both internal medicine and family medicine rotations. I enjoyed being able to learn from him, as he emphasized patient care and management during our rounds with him. He truly enjoyed teaching, which made it a great learning experience.
