Dr. Ravi Sharma, MD

Wait time 4hours, cancelled my second appointment and didn't call me. Office staff is rude, unprofessional and not helpful at all. REFUSED TO GIVE ME MY ULTRASOUND AND RESULTS BACK FROM THE HOSPITAL, WILL NOT GIVE ME A COPY OF MY CHART AND HIS FINDINGS. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS OFFICE!!!!!!!!

I first learned of Dr. Sharma as an employee at Oak Hill Hospital where he was a cardiac surgeon and starting his vein practice. On my feet all day my one leg was so bad with varicose veins I needed help. At the office I was given an ultrasound on my leg which proved I really needed some laser surgery. Dr. Sharma sat and explained the whole process of how veins and valves work and then followed up with how my procedure will help...and it all turned out great. Fast forward 10 years and now I’m back in the office for my other leg. Would not have thought about going anywhere else. The desk staff is friendly and helpful, the RN takes all vital information and answers all questions he can. Dr. Sharma remembered me after 10 years...came in, asked how I’ve been, shaked my hand and all before it was my turn as a patient. He has been a most wonderful physician, explains everything, answers all questions. He personally called me the night before my procedure to let me know he would be… slightly behind in his schedule and to come to the office a half hour later so I wouldn’t have to wait. Not many doctors will do that for their patients. How anyone could give a bad rating for Dr. Sharma and his staff surprises me. Must have been a quirk, but I couldn’t find a better physician to help me which is why my review is quite long.

Dr. Sharma is such a kind and caring doctor. He also has exceptional credentials. I chose him because he is a specialist and spends full time with vascular issues - not just a side procedure like many doctors.

Dr. Sharma and his staff are one in a million. I like others went to Dr. Sharma after having no luck with another physician. He took the time to talk to myself, husband and daughter. He explained everything in terms non-medical people can understand. He has made such a difference in my legs, legs that hurt, felt like they weighed a ton and were extremely discolored. He and his staff have been nothing but concerned, professional, helpful, wonderful people. Dr. Sharma does have a sense of humor which makes it much easier to handle whatever procedure needed. I don't know what I would have done if I had not been referred to Dr. Sharma. Thanks to Doc and his staff for being wonderful people.

The most memorable thing about Premier Vein Center is Dr. Sharma. In this day when doctors have to get patients in and out because insurance doesn't pay them what they are due, it was refreshing to find a doctor who took his time. He listened, tested and came up with the right diagnosis as well as the right results. I can't say enough about this doctor. He also now has in place a great team of support staff. Good choice!

I recently am a new pt with Dr. Sharma. I have severe pains in my ankle & feet, along with fluid retention & heaviness that make it very difficult to walk at times. I was told long ago that the trouble was with my veins, but was told over and over again by several doctors that were was nothing that could be done. I read an article about Dr. Sharma in which he relieved and helped several patients with the exact symptoms as mine. His office was over a hour away from my home, but I knew in my heart of hearts that Dr. Sharma was the doctor for me. His staff was extremely well informed, and extremely compassionate. His assistant, Steve, took my complete medical history. I was in such pain in my legs that I was in tears. The assistant helped me to lay down on the exam table in an effort to relieve the pain. When that didn't work, the assistant brought in a comfortable chair and foot stool so that I could elevate my legs. I was totally impressed with the compassion I had received. … And then Dr. Sharma entered the room, and explained to me my condition in detailed and easy to understand laypersons terms. He had a sence of humor also. I recommend him without reservation, and I am willing to have him as my doctor even if I have to travel over an hour to see him.

I am amazed by Dr. Sharma. He actually stayed after hours to accommodate my work schedule. He was so nice and took so much time listening to me. He put my mind at ease immediately. His qualifications are outstanding, board certified in heart surgery, which requires intimate knowledge of the arteries and veins. I had been to another doctor who did veins, but he seemed to think mine were a little more than he could tackle, so a friend recommended Dr. Sharma and I'm glad she did.

I see that a person posted that Dr. Sharma never called back to discuss the findings of an MRI. I find that hard to believe, given that I have been going to Dr. Sharma, first for heart and then for veins, for over 6 years and he is one of the most thorough and thoughtful doctors I've ever seen. He isn't one who watches the clock, but takes all the time in the world to discuss a patient's particular diagnosis, questions, etc. I would think that this post is by a disgruntled former employee or just by a person who might be grumpy in genera, given the fact that the hospital nor the doctor seemed to be any good.

The whole experience was new. I cam to Dr. Sharma in late 2013. I had previously seen him in 2010 for an evaluation. In 2010, I wasn't impressed with the staff; however, I was impressed with Dr. Sharma. In my latest visit in 2013, I see that he has a new, qualified and professional staff. I can't say enough about Dr. Sharma. He is well qualified, experienced, kind, a good listener and also a great sense of humor.

I was pleasantly suprised at the warmth and considerationo f the office staff and when I met Dr. Sharm, I understood. He is such a personable and caring doctor. He even called my home the evening after my surgery to see how I was doing.
