She cannot be trusted. Dr. Baergen was the pathologist that reviewed my placenta after my baby was stillborn. She wrote that the placenta was smaller than the 10th percentile in size. I sent my pathology slides and records to someone at Yale for a second opinion and they figured out she made a TYPO and the placenta was exactly 50th percentile (average) and she made a typo to the dimensions. They were written as 2.5x9x1.5 and placental dimensions are written with the largest number first so the first number was clearly a typo. Anyone with any sort of training in the field would have seen that error immediately if they were paying attention. I spent so much time and money trying to figure out how my placenta could be so small when it was just a careless mistake made by arrogant doctors at Cornell. When i got back in touch with her first she tried to tell me that people use different scales to determine percentiles and tried to get me off the phone. She finally admitted it was an error.… Then when i asked her to revise the pathology report to explain that it was 50th percentile not 10th so i could reissue it to all the doctors i had seen she was deliberately vague in the revisions to protect herself. She just erased the 10th percentile mention and did not clarify what was different. She is an absolute horror and should lose her medical license.
