The preliminary appointment went well.Dr. Patel’s assistant explained the process and gave step by step directions.

Dr Patel is the best eye doctor in Wichita, and definitely the best eye doctor I've been to in years. I do believe she is thorough and helps remedy issues and concerns with my eyes over the past 5-6 years. The low rating is simply due to scheduling issues. Despite showing up at my scheduled time, it is consistently 1.5 to almost 3 hours before being called in to begin the eye tests and exams. This is expected as they do warn you to plan on 3 hours to be there, but it's not three hours of tests, it's three hours of waiting. So you'll be waiting to see the best eye doctor in Wichita, just understand that their scheduling and adherence to appointment times are fundamentally broke. Just be prepared.

Although I have not seen Dr. Patel yet (will at the end of the month), I was very impressed with the amount of testing done prior to this visit. It was the most comprehensive I have been given in my 30 years of eye exams. The staff was friendly and there was no wait for the tests.

No matter if its just testing or picking up a prescription, or laser, Dr. Patel is the most professional, humble, knowledgeable, and compassionate Dr. I have ever seen. She has been taking care of my vision health for a while now and I cant expressed how thankful I am for her and the office staff!!!

I have been seeing Dr. Patel for a while now and I will not trust anybody else with my eye care. She is compassionate, super knowledgeable, treats you with respects, and will always do what is best for you!. Her office staff is amazing, and yet there may be times of stress and distress, that does not change their amazing customer and patient service skills! She has been there for me thru thin ice and for that I bless her! Thank you Dr. Patel you are my super hero!!!

Dr. Patel has been so helpful with my dry eye issues...she's very busy and some don't like the wait to see her... I feel her skill and support is worth the wait...

. Dr Patel explains the issues you may be having, the results of the vision and pressure checks, your medications and keeps a close watch to se if medication is working as expected. Her staff is knowledgeable, patient and so helpful even when call into the office with questions. Caring and expert care is the words I use to describe Dr PAtel and her staff. Thank you

Dr. Pateel wanted to perform a procedure on me that may or may not be medically necessary, so I asked her insurance people to get prior approval from Medicare and Blue Cross Blue Care of Kansas before I made an appointment for the procedure. The insurance tried to argue with me about the need for prior approval, interrupted me when I tried to explain, and the hung up on me. I then called and spoke to Dr. Pateel’s office manager who also chose to argue with me. They all seemed insistent that I have this procedure without insurance pre-approval. Additionally, I felt as though Dr. Pateel was trying to scare me into doing this procedure telling me that if I don’t have I could suddenly go blind, which is probably true but she didn’t come forth with the odds of that happening. I felt as though she was fear mongering to influence my decision on whether to have this procedure or not. Then when they refused to get pre-approval, it made me even more suspicious. I wouldn’t expect outstanding… customer service if you’re planning on using Dr. Pateel’s office.
