Dr. Richard Frank Cordova, DO

I love Dr Cordova,he has been my Dr for ten yrs, I have no complaints about him , he always so professional and has a great bedside manner, I have recommended my children and my grandchildren to him and my neighbor love him and now is his patient...would never change him....

I was disappointed today to find out that Dr. Cordova is not a real dermatologist. It turns out he's actually a family practice physician with minimal training in a quick "dermatology fellowship", not a formal training in a dermatology residency. I'd rather see a real dermatologist. Don't be fooled!!

The best doctor in the whole pa ,he cares about his patents, he listen to there medical problems and treats the like human beings not just a number i have been with the doctor for around 10 years ... I've try to change doctors because he left the area ,now thats he's back I'm here to stay.....love my Dr.Cordova, welcome back doc.....

Dr Cordova was very informative and professional. He addressed my concerns, treated my condition promptly and eased any worries. I highly recommend Dr Cordova. Excellent experience!

I saw Dr. Weinberg in 2010. 3 years later I received a billing statement from a billing company, showing a balance which I had never been billed for, and offering no explanation. I left several messages requesting a return call, which were all ignored. I was then forwarded to collection. Upon calling Family Dermatology, I was informed, their billing co's phone # on the bill, was incorrect all along. After being given the correct billing agency phone #, I was put on hold for 2 plus hours and finally had to hang up. I even took my phone into Family Dermatology (still on hold) as proof. Although apologetic, they claimed they were helpless to do anything, but did acknowledge there were other past patients being treated the same. To this day their billing agency has never contacted me. My 10 minute appointment has not only caused me much needless anxiety, but wasted hours and hours of my time. Trust me....there are much more professional, competent,and caring Dermatolgy practices… available. Save yourself from this one.

A few years ago I had seen Dr. Weinburg, she wasn't very pleasant. Dr. Cordova I always liked, until a few weeks ago, when their traveling surgeon did a mole excision for me. Everything was fine, I began healing, had stitches removed, and then about 2 weeks later, I started having alot of pain, and the wound didn't look so good. I called first thing Monday morning, and was told that I would have to see the surgeon that did the procedure, Dr. Amir, and that they'd contact him. A few hours went by and I hadn't heard anything so I called again and asked if anyone there, even a nurse could please see me as I was in pain and getting concerned. She got snippy and said I would just have to wait for Dr. Amir's staff to get in touch with me. Finally on Tuesday after not hearing anything, I went to my family doctor who confirmed it was infected and put me on antibiotics. I got a call today, Wednesday from Dr. Amirs office, so shame on them too, but I place most of my bad experience on… Family Dermatologys for working with a surgeon who is so difficult to get ahold of, completely disregarding complaints of pain and infection, and for having office staff that showed very minimal concern for a procedure that was done at their location. Unfortunately, I'll be going somewhere else even though I'd liked Dr. Cordova.

He is very nice and gets the job done I had bad psoriasis and had been having it for numerous years and since under Dr Cordova it has Been manageable and under control. Thank God for this fantastic Dr since no other Dr could cure or keep it unde control ....

My appt was scheduled for 10:45, I was asked to show up 15 minutes early to fill out paper work. Because I am considerate, I showed up at 10:15 to give extra time. Still understanding my appt isn't until 10:45 I watched tv in the waiting room. I was moved to a small room to wait for the Dr by a very unpleasant assistant. At 11:25 I still had not seen a Dr. This is 55min past when I requested to be at their office and 40min after my official appt. I walked to the receptionist desk and told her I'm leaving, I can't afford to waste my time on unprofessional people. I understand being 5-10min behind, but not 55! If I would have been late, they would have cancelled my appt and probably charged me a fee for missing an appt like many Dr's do now. I wouldn't recommend this office to anyone.

Minimal wait time- staff courteous n helpful- thorough exam with detailed explanation and took time to address accompanying family's dermatological concerns. Would recommend Dr. Cordova.

Dr. took a good amount of time to explain medications to me and took into consideration my lifestyle when coming up with a solution to my problem. I got the impression he wanted to get to the bottom of my problem and scheduled a follow up visit to track my progress. He took the time to look at my skin and evaluated everything that I brought up as a concern. I had a good experience.
