Poor bed side manner, doesnt follow up with his patients and his office staff is horrible. This Dr mis diagnosed me and went to another physician and was treated with care and compassion. Please if someone reads this please see another Dr.

I was taken by EMS to Largo Medical, where I had emergency surgery. By far Dr. Fansler and the entire staff were brilliant!! Even better, he seems to be a nice, down to earth person.

After finding out bad results from my mother's colonoscopy, her doctor recommended Dr. Richard Fansler for surgery. At the very first meeting he was extremely attentive and answered all our concerns. We prefer Baycare to Largo Med and he said he'd gladly do her surgery at Morton Plant. I could tell that he was in unfamiliar territory upon arrival on surgery day but that didn't stop his demeanor. The surgery went flawlessly and he went (far) out of his way to visit my mother in the hospital everyday she was inpatient. Her scars are healing nicely and all of the nurses - all unfamiliar with him at Morton Plant - said he was extremely pleasant to work with and was very attentive. I am more than happy with with his work, knowledge and professionalism and will recommend him to anyone I know needing a general surgeon.

Dr Fansler went on vacation while I was in the hospital, he did not tell me ahead of time or I would not have arranged to have a bi-lateral mastectomy done by him. I would have waited for the other surgeon. And then he left me in extreme pain and only gave me Percocet, very poor manner, would never hire him or recommend him.

He is prompt and professional in addition to having a very pleasant beside manner with the ability to accurately diagnois and treat the problem. Would recommend him without hesitation.
