Dr. Richard Brian Gremillion, MD

Dr. Gremillion mostly deals with elderly patients. He told me that I was too young to have any serious problems and disregarded the autoimmune condition that had already been diagnosed and confirmed by other physicians. He conducted the same blood tests and got the same results, but still ignored them. He said the results didn’t mean anything and that people sometimes get those results when nothing is wrong. If that’s true, then what is the point of conducting the test?! Although my condition doesn’t include visual symptoms apart from my face, he still asked me to remove ALL clothing for a visual examination. He opened my gown, exposing me completely, and looked at me up and down. I felt violated. I’ve never even had a gynecologist completely expose me and stare at me like that.

dr gremillion is in a bad way. he is not out to help anyone. he may have once been a good guy and a good doctor but he is overwhelmed now. he is too busy, he is rude, he doesn't listen, and he didn't seem at all interested in figuring out what kind of arthritis i had. he seemed mad at me for being there. his office messed up blood work three times, never taking responsibility. he messed up taking joint fluid out of my foot and sent me on my way. i hope he can get through what hes going through and find some peace, i don't wish that office visit on my worst enemy.

The worst experience I’ve had as a patient. This guy speaks over you, dismisses your concerns, and is obviously not up to date on the criteria for autoimmune diseases. Absolute joke of a doctor and I feel bad for the staff that have to work with him.

this is the worse office and Dr. I have ever seen for a specialist .the Dr him self does hardly any thing at all my appointments don't even last 7-10 min. never listens to what I try to tell him and the staff is crappy different young women every visit. can't get any paper work from them, not open on Fridays. never return a phone call and tell you NOT to leave more than one message. ! Do Not choose Richard Gremillion for R.A he is too arrogant and he don't care about his patient's just the pay check. very expensive and disappointing. :(

I have been going to Dr. Grrmillion for around twenty years. He is always caring and very thorough in his care for me. I have had experience with many people in his office over the years. I have never had problems getting prescriptions or pre-authorization for anything. This is one of the most well-run offices that I deal with.

My wife has been going to Dr. Gremillion for many years now, and while she likes him as a doctor, his office staff, regardless of how many new people they get, is always rude, unprofessional, and careless. They refuse to admit if/when they make a mistake, and we have had several instances where they tell us my wife was denied a pre-authorization for a prescription and to not bother reaching out to the insurance and medication companies because they can't teller her anything. I told her to call them anyway, and every time she was "denied" it is because the office didn't actually send any paperwork, haven't started the process, or just sent an incomplete form. When my wife tells them this, the office blames my wife, the other companies, and then promptly tries to end the call. For a long time, the only reason my wife went to this office is because it was the only office that was covered by her insurance, but we have found other specialists and will be changing doctors as soon as… possible. Unfortunately, it is a referral process, so switching to a new doctor depends on this office sending the proper documentation. There was also an instance where the office sent in a prescription to the pharmacy without Dr. Gremillion's actual prescribing it, and when the pharmacy made a note of it, the office lied again and tried to blame the pharmacy.

I read bad reviews here but a close relative is a patient and speaks very highly of Dr. G so I waited several weeks to have an office appointment. The Doctor laughed at me for studying something about conditions related to my symptoms. I was given a Rx and sent for x-rays which showed no fusing of sacroiliac joints so it was obvious that I do not have ankylosing spondylitis. The Lyrica seemed to help allot but Dr. G refused to refill the Rx and will not see me again. He seemed to know nothing about the other variations of spondylitis, including the seronegative type and undifferentiated spondyloarthropathy. Seeing Dr. Richard Gremillion was a frustrating waste of time and money. He was condescending and unwilling to listen or even consider that I might have real pain that he was unwilling to diagnos or resolve.

I work in a different rheumatology office in the Salt Lake valley, and I have a bad experience with this Dr. and his staff from an employee standpoint. One of my patients told me that Dr. Gremillion's staff told her he was retiring, so she had to get a new rheumatologist. That is NOT true. Dr. Gremillion just didn't want to treat the patients diagnosis. When I called the office to confirm he was still working, the receptionist laughed at me. I said, this is a serious question. My patient said he retired. She just laughed and said no, he'll be here another 20 years. This is the second patient I've had say she was told by the office that he was retiring, and these 2 patients had the same diagnosis.

He took the time to understand me and was compassionate. Very knowledgeable and intelligent

He is VERY THOROUGH and leaves no stone unturned. He is excellent at teaching and left me feeling like I was in control of my condition.
